  1. Well… I have been talking about how the 6 man rotation is huge for these guys and framber was a race horse that your work horses will get worn out trying to keep up with.

  2. I believe they want Ketel Marte. Thats why we went and acquired so so much pitching depth. Paredes or Walker along with a prospect and a pitcher will go out of the door at some point for Marte. Will include a 3rd team.

  3. The issue is roster construction. Everyone glazed Brown for his deadline trades and how did they work out? Not well and now Correa's contract and roster spot is really hurting the team. They put themselves in this mess. And unfortunately they might just have to tread water for a few years, reminding me further of the final drayton years, until the bad contracts are gone and hopefully the system is better. Think about it. Crane refused to pay literally any decent player to come here or stay. But he's paid Abreu, Montero, Brantley for 2023, not knocking him for the player he was before that, Walker, Hader, and Correa all this money. They need a better front office. They need an owner who will let the decision makers make decisions. They need better scouts. And they need to rebuild, because otherwise they will just be an 80-86 win team every year with no realistic expectations. I don't want that. I assume most fans don't want that. And yes I knew during the 100 loss seasons they were building towards something better.

  4. I realize that starters and older guys don’t play every game in spring training, but why in the heck does spring training have to be so long. Players work out or should in the offseason and 30-40 games in spring camp is way too many. Do players need 6 weeks to get ready for the season? It’s crazy. Make spring camp four weeks long and start the season 2 weeks earlier so the WS isn’t played close to Turkey day.. Northern teams can start on the road down south or out west.

  5. Truth is, and it is obvious to anyone that knows, that espada is in over his head.
With a team that is gonna play deep with infield starters, they need to decide if extra bench guys are more valuable in the pen…

    <6man+8 pen… (14)
Matthews, Allen, and Z getting bats in AAA.
Matthews is your option if we trade Paredes. Z is an option if you trade Walker. Cole/yordon if you trade sanchez….
[Paredes let's you change this roster into 12-14 split because he needs to play 3 out of 4 games… Rest Correa, altuve, and Walker once a series… Correa plays for jet once every w werks … Someone gets hot they keep their spot that week… "Fight like water" ]

  6. Yeah and the WBC does not help either. Glad to hear the team seems to be taking a harder stance on not allowing their aging players to partake. I am a big fan of the WBC but I also understand the safe guards.

  7. Josh Hader needs a proper, longer Warmup throws in the Bullpen, instead of Emergency throwing in the Bullpen in panic mode, causing stress. Let another hard throwing pitcher get that 1 out, bases loaded instead.

  8. Ohtani and all the Japanese star major leaguers are playing in WBC! Altuve should be playing for Venezuela. Paul Skenes, Aaron Judge are playing for USA! Astros not going anywhere this year anyways.

  9. I never have a problem with giving a guy a day off, but when I can tell who it is going to be because said player went 4/5 with 2 home runs and 6 RBI the previous day. If a player is hot, let him continue the run. Sit the guy that hasn't had a hit in 5 games. Baseball is a game of streaks and those streaks need to be allowed to play out. I wouldn't be
surprised to see Espada sit a player on a 20 game hitting streak just because it is his "scheduled" day off. It seems that he never had a problem with skipping a pitcher's turn if he was going badly. I don't remember that he ever skipped a pitcher's regular start, especially if he was lights out.

  10. Please enlighten me when it comes to resting during the season? If you were healthy you played 162 games regularly! You threw 300+ innings! Are these players not the better athletes? How did they do this regularly back in the day of astro-turf (Crappy!) and worse equipment? Those were athletes! BTW what is an oblique strain because we never had that? I played not just baseball but high level men's slow pitch so roughly 300 games a year. No one ever said they had this. Maybe it's today's training?

  11. Last season they said the same thing! They desperately wanted to keep their players “healthy” yeah, well look how that season turned out! Stay stretched, eat good, get rest and man up! It’s a broken record at this point. To me it’s weird that we put so much focus on health yet have the most injuries in the league. Something’s off here…

  12. I believe him, just take a look at the injuries last year. It’s unacceptable and something has to change. Carlos Correa has always been the leader of this team and the players are a brotherhood because of the chemistry that they’ve built through the years, they all feed off of each others energy
