Yu is a great competitor and a good man. We should give him the space to do whatever he sees fit to do.
There is no Darvish-gate. There is a reporter that cared more about getting the story out first than getting it right.

Darvish spoke to Acee before telling his agent.
Darren and Marty also burying Acee on Martytime. Darren said it best, with the career that Yu has had, Yu gets to dictate when he decides to retire. Not some reporter wanting to be first to a story.

Darvish doesn’t want to retire but also doesn’t want the padres to be on the hook for his contract this year. It’s really the best of both worlds ngl.
