Not coming back. It will get over $20 million in free agency and Niners won’t pay that! Draft a speedy receiver along with 20 or he needs, like an offensive line that is more than adequate!
You passed up one of the most interesting parts of the Presidio was the museum and history to of the native people that lived in this wonderful area, and history of the military in the Presidio, a M 2-star restaurant that's sits just at one end of the building, and it's court side outside… at the Old Officers Club. The Jewel of the Presidio.
David, Margo, at 13:11 in your video, as you approach the stop sign, if you had taken a right at the stop sign and parked your car just past the back of the nearest to the building that's just passed. There is a dirt road behind that building that will take you to a fantastic garden area where once stood a rather large estate with stone fountains…
I really like RP style of play but after sophomore year Niners know what they have in him. The gsw may have done more damage than we thought. Package him for worthy trade while there’s value.
Burford can go. Brendel Can Go.
Jennings back at the right price. Dinero Pinero even if we gotta pay more all the rest can go if the price ain't right
Everybody with oxygen to the brain wants to keep Jennings. But, that same oxygen is going to demand that it depends on price. Free agency will establish that price, probably much less than he’s asking. Still, I guess that after the Aiyuk whip saw, Lynch won’t chase JJ far. Of course, he’ll have to keep Shanahan from racing upstairs to make the decision. Gonna have to get a WR though and it won’t be cheap.
I would keep Eddie P
All of the so-called 'foundational pillars' are at the end of their prime or past it with Purdy and Lenoir being the exceptions.
Nepo Shanny & Lynch better get busy finding successors for all their aging pillars.
Let Jennings go.. signed younger guys…. Pitt
He was the only one that was able to score in the last two games against the Seahawks. He put up nine points.
Good report. So reading between the lines, they are an aging/old, slow team, that can no longer afford to overpay for underperforming talent. Their choices, especially their draft choices (history has not be kind there) must be spot on or they will remain behind the Rams and the Seahawks.
Thumbs up 👍 David
Keep 3rd and Juan
The big money kickers make $ 6 million a year. I'd pay that in a heartbeat for EddyP.
I think kickers should be paid more than WRs because kickers win or lose a game and are more important. That's my take.
Real reel recognition. I see what you did there.
you must pay Eddie P big time
Hey David, speaking of running stop signs…..you didn't stop at the stop sign where the pedestrian was crossing at the crosswalk at the 13:15 mark in this video. Just sayin'…
Considering that the 49ers felt they needed BRob in 2025, I can't see why they would let him go. I'd like to see them make a deal early based on the general market. But BRob would have to decide whether other teams see him as a starter. Being a backup to CMC isn't a bad duty if you're looking at having an extended career.
Sign Tyler Linderbaum 20 mill
Draft either:
Olaivavega Ioane (Penn State) Emmanuel Pregnon (Oregon in the first
Go get Alec Pierce at WR
In the 2nd round Draft a saftey:
Dillon Thieneman (Oregon)
Kamari Ramsey (USC)
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren (Toledo)
We have a worryingly old team on offense. Hope to see some actual good signings, otherwise we'll struggle next year for sure.
My Grandfather was an Electrician at the Presidio, during the mid 50’s thru 1974, when it was an active Army base, home to the 6th Army
I understand why Jennings had to go for it. This is his last chance to get a big contract. But, I think he is more valuable to the 49ers than any other team, and I think he will do better here. If you look at it, he has done far better with Purdy, than any other quarterback and I think pretty knows how to use him properly. His excellent blocking is also more appreciated here than anywhere else. I know 2025 wasn't his best blocking year but that was just because of the broken ribs. I don't see another team giving him $20 million / year. But i don't know how much they would offer him. The 49ers are a team that appreciates certain things about receivers that aren't the flashy things.
Niners will be in remodel mode for the next 2 years. They will be competing but ultimately will not have enough to compete for a SB unless they get some studs on the roster!
At the least move the practice field
David how do they put up with grant Cohn the guy is insufferable
I got married at the Presidio back when it was still an active military base. The chapel was beating back then. I went back after it was no longer run by the military, and it was a bit run down. Always exited going to Fort Point and the shore batteries.
Please JJ n’ SF… make it happen 🎉
Kind of late to build a stadium. don’t you think?😂 Think about land cost in San Francisco. I’ll wait…😅
Ah. Ok TOO MANY PEOPLE! Why does everyone live in the valley? It will never happen
I’m positive that the issues are O-LINE, defense as a whole and star wide receivers (not much huh) they need to focus on the injuries too. But. They never pay attention to it. Have to get better than Seahawks and Rams again!
Peace out Bangers
They they pay Jennings 20+ mill per year I’m gonna be sick.
I saying Brock Purdy should be traded just like Alex Smith. Sam Donald would've win a superbowl with us. I'm sure Mac Jones will leave to do the same as Sam Donald. Brock is choking this franchise out of million 😡
O Line in the first two rounds please
Need OL upgrade / revamp or no SB. Seattle trampled 9er OL, and Purdy ran for his life. He's been knocked out of play three years in a row now. How long will he last behind below average OL? Fast WR / separation means nothing without QB protection first. OL cannot run block now either. Prioritize OL upgrade, or just another season fodder coming up in 2026.
49ers pay WAY to much for the players you call "pillars".
They are NOT pillars, they are over paid dead weight.
Trade Bosa immediately.
Give #71 a big fat pay cut.
Give # 85, #23, #44, #13 a restructure contract.
Pass on Jennings, he will flounder on his next team.
Darnold makes next to nothing, Purdy gets a Kings ransom.
49ers don't win superbowls, stop paying them like they do win championships.
thank you…as an old Coast Guardsmen could you please visit the old station on the Presidio…great view
Please don’t bring him back he can’t separate we need explosive receivers all the top teams have them. Please ship juice out along with Jennings, Bourne, Luke Farrell or anyone else that runs a 4.7. Rams got 3 tight ends that are dangerous and can outrun our receivers
I like Kendrick Born but he had 2 good games and that’s it. He can go! Keep skymore and Juan.
Jennings is slow ,we need more speed on offense!! unless we are converting jj to a tightened!!
He gone and everybody knows it.
That was a long list of pending free agents to go through, and I think you were spot-on with almost all of it. Top priority has to be re-signing the key special teams players – the improvement in that unit was one of the biggest success stories of the season, so they definitely shouldn't squander it. Piñeiro (even if it costs more), Weeks, and Morstead for sure, hopefully Gifford as well (though I fervently hope we never have to see him on defense again, except for maybe some goal-line packages). Hopefully they can also keep Skyy Moore, and work him into the offense more as well as the return game. Out of the RFAs, I think Tonges and Okuayinonu are definite keepers (unless their markets explode), though maybe not Chase Lucas.
Burford and Bartch are both almost certainly gone – I wouldn't mind bringing Burford back strictly as a cheap backup, but if some team is foolish enough to pay him serious starter money…thanks for the comp pick. Hennessy makes sense to bring back (and why the heck not keep Pleasants, even though he's barely a backup), but that cannot detract from the team's need to upgrade at multiple O-line spots.
At the backup LB/special teams role, I think it may come down to a choice between Garrett Wallow and Curtis Robinson, and I think we'd rather have Wallow. For DL, I think YGM is very likely gone – he's had way too many injuries over multiple years, plus we have White and Williams who play mostly the same role. I think Givens will finally be pushed out the door this year, and I think they'll let at least one out of Elliot and Davis walk. If they keep one, my guess would be Davis.
Finally, I'm a bit sad to say it, but I agree that Jennings is probably going to walk. I think he's likely going to get that $20+ million from somewhere, and that's just not realistic for the Niners to match, given the limits to his game.
Love the SF tours and history knowledge. Added bonus
If they do bring JJ back better be at Team Friendly price. The Dude can disappear in games! He is so inconsistent…one game he is very good and then next 2 games he is a no show! Do not overpay for this #2/3 WR….! Niners need to go get an A list speedster like Drake London…just overpay and lock in the young Dude! Quit farting around with avg WR's….look at the Rams…already had Puka…what do they do…went and got Davante!! That is the kinda balls Jed & Lynch needs to have. Spend the cash or trade picks…hell they have not had a decent Draft since the slam dunk Bosa draft in 2019!! They suck at raw talent, cannot draft worth a rats rear…… so trade for it…or go buy it!
