Pain. Pure evil pain….

  1. Better there than anywhere in the east. We need young talent and they have a wealth of it.

  2. Honestly this would be best case scenario. I hold no ill will towards the Sharks. They’re not a rival. They’re not in the East. They’re fun to watch and Panarin with Celebrini and Smith would be fun to see.

Plus they have a solid prospect pool, plenty of picks, and wouldn’t need any third party retention which could drive his price down to a team like Colorado.

  3. its not gonna happen. doesn’t fit the Sharks timeline and Sharks desperately need defenseman. just hooplah noise. Mike Grier just doing his due diligence in asking about Bread but no way he pulls the trigger for him.

  4. Sharks are a best case scenario, imo. They have their 1st, they have some good prospects not yet in the league, they have good young roster forwards that could be available (and at least 1 should if he goes with an extension). We’d only have to play him twice a year, which would be a bonus.

That and him with Celebrini would be electric.

  5. I wonder if this means they are no longer interested in Schneids as purported, or if they’re now interested in both. If we packaged both, that has the potential to be a massive return.

  6. It’s surreal that the freaking Sharks are considering Panarin and extending him. They are the joke of the league for years and they get Celebrini and boom! Instant contender. Would never happen to the Rangers.

  7. If they offer the best deal for him, then you have to take it. That’s what really matters most. Where ever he goes, he’s going to be a rental.

  8. If this is a retool and not a rebuild, how do you just discard this guy without even negotiating or exploring extension? Not to mention, devaluing his trade value by declaring we don’t want him anymore

  9. Wouldn’t this drive his return down? Since he is already picking where he wants, this would limit it even further because those teams then would have to make room or have room to afford his aav

  10. San Jose/Anaheim would be ideal landing spots, I want nothing to do with Panarin in Washington or Carolina for the next 4 years

  11. Why are the Rangers giving up a good player? Breadman has been one of the core members. Rangers won’t be making the playoffs in the next decade I personally guarantee it.

  12. JT Miller has proved himself more useful to the Rangers than Panarin has. Just flat out pathetic by Chris Drury.

  13. He would have signed an extension here if one was presented at his terms. Drury also being public about NOT extending him hasn’t helped matters. All time botch by this front office.
