I used to have a screenshot from ESPN I kept referring what the small time Bucks were going to do with Giannis first contract extension and if the Bucks were a good enough fit to keep the young talent. I've been trying for the last few days, and unfortunately, I couldn't find the screenshot. But in the process of me digging for it I found this.

On July 6th, 2017, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, while speaking on Gordon Hayward's decision to leave Utah and sign with Boston started what we would come to know as….'Giannis Watch!'

So basically, ESPN has been trying to get Giannis out of Milwaukee for almost NINE fn YEARS! I knew it was a long time but not that damn long. I'm disgusted that the NBA lets this happen to their product (Especially with small markets being at a clear disadvantage) and with Prime and NBC bringing in fresh air we've seen that this is certainly an agenda on ESPNs part. I've been disgusted with how far they've fallen as a network (Growing up ESPN was vastly a different product that I loved) so I stopped watching them years ago, but this just certifies my disgust for that network.

Ever wonder how long ESPN has been plotting to get Giannis out of Milwaukee? I think I've might have found the answer.

  2. Yeah once he won MIP ESPN has made it there personal responsibility to try to get him out of this city. Idk what vendetta they’ve had against the city because even in baseball you didn’t see Sunday Night baseball from MKE.

  3. Nah youre reaching. WOJ is completely correct in talking about how shit the MKE front office was back then. Giannis was the next up and coming star and everyone knew he’d be the biggest FA catch if he left us.
