  2. ALL talk for the past 7 years NO action on the ice ONLY 10 minutes can't play 60 minutes of hockey 30 games 6 goals WHY was he ever resigned by Treliving in his place could of ADDED 1.5 to his contract and get RUSHING RHD young with size and GREAT shot from the point and on the 1st PP

  3. Mitch seemed to be affected by the animosity he received, of course. How could anyone not be affected by that? Many Leafs players have shared repeatedly that they're close buddies with Mitch, so how could the environment not have affected their play? It's frustrating as a spectator but easy to understand as a reasonable person. They're remarkable hockey players – but they're also ordinary people.

  4. Disgraceful fans booooo'd Marner. Why should he be the scapegoat because of LOAFER players currently on the team are the REAL problem why the Maple Loafs fail to win anything!! Marner wasn't the problem. He gave his all when in Toronto. Toronto fans need to go pick up a can of class & dignity. WTH has happened to Canada lately?? Is it any wonder a Canadian team hasn't won a Stanley Cup Championship in 34years??!!

  5. I'm a Leaf fan, but I know this team is just not that good. Having said that, Berube all year has me scratching my head. Stolarz starting THAT game? Jarnkrok still? Laughton doesn't even get 10 minutes when the rest of the centers look lifeless? Boggles the mind.

    And just watch them turn around and beat colorado sunday.

  7. Didn't play 60 mins lmao. This team Janet played 60 min in at least the last 3 games combined. They blame injuries yet the have been beaten by teams with lots of injuries. Either play like you know you can or call it a day. Domi shoot the puck even the crowd was yelling it .

  8. Beyond me why the coach can't find more minutes for Laughton who is an inspirational leader. I feel its time to start thinking about next year and punt on the playoffs push for this year. Start to restock the draft board and prospect pool. I don't understand the lack of compete and consistency of compete. Its obviously personnel related. There are too many changes that an Olympic break and a trade deadline can possibly fix. My concern is how motivated I the GM prepared to do the surgery that is necessary. His motivation seems to be not rocking the boat enough to do what's necessary.

  9. The fact that Scott bought a plate nine minutes and scored two goals. the fact that Austin matthews is not playing to the level that he’s supposed to be playing. It is the captain that he is to this day. Wake up boys our power play sucks needs to change

  12. JT is our real captain and Nylander is our real heartof the team. Everyone else whose been here 5 yrs or more are pathetic, selfish and scared of their own shadows and the scary fans.

  13. For everyone complaining about Stolarz, Adin Hill didn't play for 3 months and had a cold start against you guys last Thursday and still got the win.
    You have no excuse, your team just sucks.

  18. Why don't these reporters, ever ask some tough questions? Ask Stolarz, if he thinks a stint with the Marlies would've been helpful. Why is there never any emotion, with this team? Too many passive questions, and always the same losing, unemotional answers.

  19. Leafs management took captaincy away from JT with an insulting dog and pony show. Now he's the player who is ALWAYS trotted out to take the heat. Matthews is a gutless entitled frat boy, but like in atom hockey, he is the top scorer so he gets to be captain. MLSE is so out of touch with reality. As a fan just give up now – you can't make sense of the insane.
