VJ, Grimes,PG,Giannis and Embiid

I agree with Happy-Substance, after last night I’m willing to include VJ in the Giannis discussions. I think Giannis(if healthy) would be such a massive add to the roster. The other thing is that PG is unreliable as a scale-up option, but Giannis can always scale up or scale down as needed(he’s thrived on the Greek Olympic team.)

Our beautiful boy is averaging 29.4 a game in the last 18 games he’s played. In that stretch he’s at 56.8% on 2P shots and 63% TS.
That Flagg-Kon game last night lived up to it’s billing. Both guys looked great and had their career high. Great game too. I still think about what if we got Flagg, we were so close.
We keep squeaking by shit teams and people act like it’s not alarming. We also keep losing to good teams besides the Knicks (except the last game against them ofcourse). I think the offense is actually fine, it’s the defense/rebounding.
Oubre has been great and should not be traded but I think him being in the starting lineup is contributing to the rebounding woes because PG is being pushed to the 4. I think we need to prioritize a high level rebounding power forward with some semblance of an outside game and start him. Move PG to the 3. Embiid needs a strong rebounder next to him, PG is not strong/athletic enough to be his support down there. I think cleaning the rebounding up will have the strongest impact on us right now.
Or Giannis.
I am not sure how we do it, but need to get more boards. PG at PF is not a great fit, especially with Embiid not getting a lot of boards.
