  1. Kansas City Chiefs cap saving moves and cap savings:
Release OT Jawaan Taylor: $20 MM
Release LB Drue Tranquil: $6 MM
Restructure QB Patrick Mahomes: $44 MM
Restructure DT Chris Jones: $20 MM
Restructure C Creed Humphrey & OG Trey Smith: $20 MM

  2. The cap space analysis is great. Given that, I don’t think that moving on from Drue Tranquil is a necessary move. Even if you get another player in the draft, a rookie is not something we should be placing a starter. We do need to draft a player to work towards replacing Drue but hav8ng Drue around to mentor him would be preferable.😊

  3. Well, you don’t need a old head like Trey Hendrickson who just got off an injury that we’re gonna spend so much money on to try to fix our pass rush needs that’s just not gonna happen

  4. Hendrickson is 31 years old and coming off an injury-plagued season. I don't know what the answer is, but I don't think $21 million to $25 million for a 31 year old with decreasing production is the answer. The best answer would be David Bailey, but he may already be gone by the 9th pick.
