I've been calling for his firing since med season
Vikings 100% should have kept Sam Darnold and let JJ be the backup for another 2-4 years
Steve Young sat behind Joe Montana, then won a Super Bowl. JJ should sat behind a good veteran, preferably been Darnold. Just sayin
But… I just figured out how to spell his name.
The offense is KOCs and the Defense is Flores.
I was no Kwesi fan and needed to go but KOC isn’t innocent in all of this either,, IMO he coddled JJ and tried to protect him from any criticism. The guy is not ready to be an NFL QB. Hopefully They can sign a good veteran this off season
Here’s what everyone’s failing to understand. JJ McCarthy always wins. He is driven to an obsessive level to be the best that he can be. To not lose. He is the youngest quarterback in the NFL and would probably be one of the youngest quarterbacks if he came out this year‘s draft as well. He has such immense talent and moxie and championship heart. In his last four stars, he was a top 10 quarterback statistically. That’s his trajectory. He’s going to be a great quarterback, but for some reason, the media and the fans have lost their collective minds and thinking this kid is terrible. Did he play great last year? No did he show Amazing promise much like Josh Allen during his rookie season yes. You don’t give up on that kind of talent. You don’t give up on that kind of leadership quality. It’s stupid. Of course it’s the kind of thing the Vikings have done historically made the wrong move because guess what he’ll end up winning a Super Bowl probably multiple with another team if the Vikings let him go
Somebody wanted drake maye.. they made offers. I'd like to believe KOC wanted Maye.
We could have had Kyle Jerome Ezekiel Sloter for a decade but noooooo
I have a question if anyone can answer if the GM in NF L gets fired.. how hard is it for them to get another job in the NFL can I get an answer Just asking What's his next Scenario
Don’t forget the thielen BS. What a terrible trade.
No receipts because they probably thought it would look racist
Was this the 1st and only post season presser that KOC and Kwesi did not appear jointly ?
Once again we enter the typical Vikings holy crap what's going on season
Doobie has the answers! 😂😂😂😂😂 😮😮😮😮😮
Andy… You should do a video and go through all the Kwesi trades and draft acquisitions. I'm curious where you feel the grades would actually land. A lot of times you felt like he was cooking.
I would like to thank the Vikings for moving on from kwesi while also thanking kwesi for Dallas turner
The Flores long play is coming into a focus!
Dude had bad drafts but the call for JJ is most likely on the coach. Almost every coach feel they can coach up players
who was it some short time back that had said there was tension in the building? I remember a vidja saying something about it and we all blew it off.
What's Jeff diamond doing?
There's been rumors all year about tension in that building….The Timing is what's odd for sure !!
Let KOC take on the GM duties, at least drafting decisions..
Watch them bring in bellicheck as the new GM
Can we pleeeeeeease agree to ignore Russini, it's getting very boring
It wasn’t that long ago when we were praising him for his free agent acquisitions, especially on defense. He just was poor at drafting. I fell like he was better at UDFA’s than actual craft picks.
THANK THE LORD NO MORE LET QWASA COOK MEME'S NUFF SAID.
You need the Rob sunglasses and trap music
KOC better buckle up and get JJ right otherwise he will be gone next.
The QB is and has always been KOC’s decision.
I don't believe any of these reports coming out. KOC and Kwesi are both equally responsible for this season's QB play and all the decisions they made were joint decisions, same with roster moves, the reason KOC is still in charge is because he's also responsible for the team's continued unity despite poor play, where it's harder to point towards anything positive that Kwesi is responsible for.
Just a power struggle, O'Connell said last year this was his franchise QB in McCarthy, now watch for a trade for QB.
We all live in a colander submarine
A big thank you to the Wilf family. They saw they made a mistake and rectified it. If KOC doesn’t step up as HC, I know a guy named Flores that would be a perfect fit. SKOL!!
At least we don't need to hear "cooking with Kwesi" anymore😆
Thank GOD! Someone's head needed to roll for this year's quarterback debacle! I hate the Seahawks, but I'm rooting for Sam!
Oconnell wanted literally anyone else it seems. I still think ARod would’ve been such a good mentor (playing wise) for JJ, and he clearly wanted to be here, and he also probably makes Minnesota a playoff team last season….
Appreciate the passion. We all feel this same way. So frustrating
Surprised but not surprised. I think the Wilfs took time to deliberate and I trust their opinion.
Here we go with the JJ Mcarthy hate what this headline suggests is pure speculation Darnold is gone get over it. Mcarthy just needs more time in actual games situations riding him on the bench will only hinder his development. No QB starts his first game in the NFL "ready" he was 6-4 coming off major knee surgery he just needs an offseason to actually train rather than rehabbing a knee injury what is going on with Darnold is an anomaly the defense got torched by the run early in the season and Wentz only lasted five games before he was crushed behind the worst O-line in the league it's no coincidence they resigned Flores and fired KAM withing a week of each other.
I keep hearing that kweshi refused to bite on trading with pats which would've given vikings Maye (everyone believe there was top 3 qb caleb jalen and maye than all other qb was far behind those 3), any truth and verifiedable news to this?
Kwesi did very poorly. Keeping Darnold seemed so obvious. So obvious. Passing on Kyle Hamilton for Lewis Cine. His drafts were so poor that they had to rely on free agents. That costs money and made it harder to keep Darnold. His 4 drafts were bottom 5 in league.
Protect yourself at all times is life not just mma boxing Skol
If you could whittle it down to two things, it was the abysmal drafting and the current QB situation. Both were fireable offenses.
If this is all true, thank god for the Wilfs and their eagerness to get to the bottom of the Darnold decision. Kwesi strikes me as a guy who rose through the front office ranks way too fast and fell into a job where his knowledge (or lack thereof) couldn't keep him. Just absolutely no clue what he was doing and it became glaringly obvious this season.
4 years of limited success (Good enough to be competitive and maybe make the playoffs) and no real changes made with coaching staff or personnel (Only for monetary value) but this was long overdue. After his first draft and those players not getting PT, the writing on the wall.
Awesome Andy, this indeed lights a 🔥 . Flash back remember how disturbed KOC looked during the press conference w Kwesi after Cousin's signed w/Atlanta.. The good, Free agency :Kwesi, with exception of this past season, did phenomenally well (insert undrafted college frre agents also). ~The why, Mark Wilf did a very good job of being diplomatic with the announcement. Watch it again, he clearly mentions, success will be determined by how well we draft. That's been Kwesi's weakness. So far, what draft picks did he hit on? Keep in mind 1st round picks are expected to be impact players on the field, not off the field. I only come up with D. Jackson. Going fwd, no GM= decisions will certainly be weighed heavier by the coaches. Let's add more onto KOC's plate…to be honest head coach and play caller at times was too much. He's getting a chance to have a huge say in 2026, if that doesn't end with *success *, he's following Kwesi. What I don't get is we have the same talent scouts feeding info to Rob, aren't they the same people that advised Kwesi? No way Kwesi went rogue on draft day. Unless it was his sole call to trade down & pass on a value players.
Hire Bill Belichick as the new GM wasn’t he the GM in New England? Or maybe I’m wrong … That way if KOC keeps calling bad plays either Bill or Brian Flores can step in and give the Vikings a much needed blood transfusion of Championship Blood and knowledge of building a Dynasty we deserve it after all these years of heartbreak SKOL what’s your thoughts??
