Better days are ahead

  1. This has happened to us several times and we always seem to pay the players who end up sucking the most ass lol

  2. Call me crazy but after looking through the free agents list for this year, its kinda a shit year to have the most money

  3. With all that cap space the Titans could sign Clowney, Beasley, Dupree, Sneed, Ridley, or even Julio Jones

  4. I’ve seen it in multiple sports, cap space means squat! Sure, you can shell out big money for a marquis player, but that does not mean said player will thrive in our system or mesh with our locker room. The Preds and NY Yankees are two prime examples of this as they have repeatedly paid big money to bring in talent only to have that talented player flop.

  5. Nope.

Spend none of it. Free agency in NFL is for losers.

90% of players are only good for 4 years.

  6. Let’s wait and see what that number ends up at after contract resigning negotiations are done first.

  7. My bad for being optimistic about the Titans in the Tennessee Titans subreddit. I’ll go back to the Mike Vrabel cuck chair.

  8. Just appreciate that as bad as it’s been, at least we don’t suck ass AND are $40M over the cap.

    Goddamn, New Orleans.

  9. Having a lot of cap space isn’t great! We should not go hog wild in fa. Those players are hitting the market because their current teams don’t think they are worth the price. Those teams are usually right!

  10. Depends on how they spend the money. I’m over the over 30 veteran wr, the oft injured edge rusher… Maybe if they are smart for a change it might help. Just signing people because you can doesn’t work

  11. Because splurging on FA worked out so well last time? You have to build through the draft, man.

  12. How do the bengals have so much cap? I’ve always heard they were in cap hell basically due to their big 3

  13. Here’s how I would develop an offseason program for the Titans if my voice mattered.

Restructure Simmons and Hookers’ contracts. Simmons needs an extension and can be restructured while saving money, but Hooker’s contract is a sticky situation; thanks, Ran. Hooker is a good safety who had to play out of position and was schemed to fail when corners missed their assignments.

Cut Ridley Post-June; release Sneed completely. I’d rather the Titans make a gamble on Diggs instead of keeping Brandon Aiyuk as a cornerback. Sneed saves some money, but he doesn’t exist and should not be on the team unless this coaching staff can see if he has one more year to prove his worth or he gets cut as well.

Sign an RB this offseason, Walker or Hall is ideal, maybe even Etienne as an option. Avoid Rico, cost too much money. Keep the current RB room, and draft a RB in 2027 Draft, because that draft class is loaded with talent at RB. Pollard is still a 1K RB, serviceable and can benefit from Brian DaBoll.

Keep Chig, but draft a TE for a competitive 3 TE room: 1 receiving option, 1 blocker and mismatch option, and sneaky TE on 3rd down schemes (Anthony Frisker type of TE).

Now, the Titans need wide receiver help. The optimal number of receivers the Titans should add for Cam Ward is two; one in the draft and one in FA. Jennings and Wan’Dale Robinson are the top two candidates the Titans should pursue in this offseason, but for the Draft I think the Titans will go EDGE in the 1st Round, or they trade down to the Saints, Commanders, or Chiefs while maintaining top 10 picks and get a 2nd day pick and a few 3rd day picks (4th/5th Rd) and future compensation with cash offers.

Personally, my favorite WRs in this draft would be Tate, Lemon, Sarratt, Virgil, idk about Boston, Lane, and Fields.

I see the Titans going after BPA at the much-needed skill positions in order – EDGE – CB – WR – S – ILB – IOL – OT

Those six positions are the more desirable, you can swap IOL for OT, because I forget about the depth we have on the IOL, but the Titans need to load up on defense and address offense when the BPA is available, or they can trade up for their guy.
