  4. I’ve been routinely downvoted for suggesting this was the mentality driving a lot of our decisions and warning it will kill this rebuild/era before it gets out of the cradle.

    You arent a fucking playoff team in 2026 with a roster with only one legit three point shooter and your best player needs 4 out lineups to be effective. A best player that has never been healthy enough to rely on.

    Let alone in a Western Conference that if Giannis goes to Minny, will be as stacked as it ever has been.

    EDIT: I guess if I want to be somewhat optimistic, at least this delusion indicates they arent going to make a really rash win now move. But it does suggest that like Griff we are going to over value players that we should be maximizing the return we can get recognizing we are not ready to compete. Feels like the Lonzo and BI problem all over again.

  5. I mean. The roster is talented, it’s just that the pieces don’t fit.

    If we can get off Poole somehow and land a couple serious 3pt shooters… And if there is meaningful development from Queen and Fears in year 2; then yea, there’s a chance that we suddenly find ourselves in the 5-10 mix in the West next year.

    But I don’t think we should stand still at the deadline. And there should be a universe where we are willing to trade Zion and hard reset behind Queen, Fears, Trey, and Herb.
