  1. 6 years not a single ring or finals , says a lot about everyone joined with clippers

  2. Kawhi is in the same spot as DeAndre was when CP3 requested a trade and then we shipped Blake off to Detroit.

There was a little more optimism back then as we still owned our picks and also had the generationally great 2019 free agent class to look forward.  2027 isn’t quite shaping up to be so amazing and, as far as draft capital is concerned in the near term, we only have 2nds and the 30th overall pick in 2027.

On the other hand, there was a lot more anxiety.  Once it became clear that AD would force his way to team up with LeBron, many Clippers fans feared that botching free agency in 2019 would take the franchise back to the dark times pre-Lob City.

  3. And that ends the gamble of trading a great rookie and a ton of picks for a great player with lots of injuries. Forcing PG to be on the team ended up weakening the team overall. Wish Kawhi just came here with the understanding that they would make trades to eventually get more help for him. But giving a ton away ended up weakening the team which gave us little material to barter with and that’s where we are now.

Let’s not make the same mistake again and think things through next time.
