From the nflrookies community on Reddit: Falcons executive Matt Ryan is non-committal about Michael Penix Jr. being the starting quarterback next season as he recovers from knee surgery, making Browns QB Dillon Gabriel a potential trade target for Kevin Stefanski, Per Football Forever

Give us a 5th and call it a day
A 5th and penix lol
Send over #114 in the fourth round and lets call it a day.
With our luck, they’d win the super bowl
Yes please trade him away let Kevin take him. I’d rather roll Sanders Watson and a vet or late round rookie.
Atlanta Browns 2.0
I’d be happy with a 7th round pick. Poor guy has no future. He is bad.
There’s no way this is real Gabriel hasn’t shown anything but bad play. He can’t pass deep he cant even dump it off, bad under pressure, under sized, showed 0 growth over the season, what does Stefanski see in him? Sanders is pretty trash too so far but atleast he’s shown flashes of SOMETHING.
This sub is funny. Gassing up Shedeur while shitting on Gabriel
I honestly never want to watch Gabriel ever again, and I mean even playing for an opponent. He truly makes football so predictable it’s absurdly painful.
Who the fuck is Football Forever?!
Poor Pentax will be ruined under stefanski.
It’s like the American Dad episode where they make a clone of Steve and Stan and Francine raise the two Steve’s differently and one day the Steve being raised by Stan snaps and tries to kill the other Steve
Bahahaha take DG from us please

Doubt it, but!
In a “watch the world burn” kinda way, can you imagine if they did, and they had even a moderately successful couple of years? People would lose it.
This would be fuckin hilarious
Just blindly connecting dots over here
A lot of people are predicting he’s going to do well there, but I wonder if he might just totally fuck things up and make them worse.
Imagine if we traded Dillon Gabriel to the Falcons and he actually turned out to be good. Most Browns scenario possible
Yes, r/NFLrookies. The best place to get insider info.
Gabriel didn’t show anyone much of anything to warrant a trade. With that being said, if you want someone that knows the offense and you don’t want the locker room divided, getting rid of Cousins is the only way to do that. Lastly, Penix isn’t guaranteed anything at the moment, so, don’t be surprised if they make a bigger move to bring in competition for him.

Stefanski had Gabriel last year. I can see him working with literally any other QB before this is an option.
How about we send him Deshaun?
As the starter? What is this garbage
Since when do executives decide who’s starting? Did Stefanski just walk into the exact same BS overreach he dealt with here?
By the way DG had a garbage combine. Idk how many people actually know that. And if I had a bad combine I’d hope I got hired too so power to the kid. But it explains a lot.
