Luis Arraez would be my next target to play first base. Then package some form Mauricio, Acuna, Baty, Vientos and some of the young pitching talent for an Ace or closer for this team.
Bichette is an all around BETTER player than Tucker
Mets need to be sneaky and getting Cody bellinger and not announced what they're doing That's how Tucker was taken from them because they announced it they need to be sneaky and go get Cody bellinger on a sneak tip
Put Baty at 1b, Bichette at 3b, and get Bellinger for LF or CF. That is the ultimate pivot and they are better off with all of that than just Tucker. This is a blessing in disguise and maybe the Tucker ordeal was just a distraction from Bichette so nobody else tried to use the Mets again and snag him.
I'm glad we didn't get Tucker. He was too overpriced!

I think the "corporate" goal for this year was to be competitive but primarily to shake out the prospects to see what they REALLY have and so far, the moves made suggest that to me. Next off season the focus to be free agent pitching. BOTH Skubal and Peralta to augment the rookie SP's and this year's other SP's that stick. Then lookout Dodger assholes.

This is a great way to test players too. These short deals then if they opt out, you just pay more for them next year bc they did so good that they were able to opt out. Win win. If you don’t win with them then no big deal to lose them and get someone else. If you do win then you pay whatever it takes to keep him unless it’s a stupid 10 years. They already have 2 of those with Lindor and Soto. Only 5 left on Lindor, but they don’t need anymore of those. Only for future hall of famers.
