5. The Patriots being back in the Superbowl this year was never something I seriously considered even going into the playoffs, but now that they're in it, I'm all the way in. If they lost in the divisional or ended the AFC Championship, I could have been happy with that. Coming off a 4 win season with a whole new coaching staff and a second year QB, just making the playoffs would have been massive. But now that they're actuality in the Superbowl, I'm not going to be able to look at it that way. Even though the season was an overwhelming success by any standards, it's all or nothing at this point. The rest of the NFL better hope we don't win, because we will be insufferable for at least a few months.
