  10. I think Jesse may want to view up close and personal a year of McDaniel… Jesse’s never been a head coach. He knows defense but he could pick up valuable info from an amazing offensive coach

  12. 49ers fan here. Very happy for Jim Harbaugh to get his man in McDaniel. Wise of JH to move quickly for MM as Eagles and Titans (his former colleague Saleh wanted MM in Tennessee as the OC) were hot on his trail. MM might be quirky but he is an elite play designer/schemer and play caller. He will significantly improve Chargers' run game and bring a balance offense which will help Hebert greatly.

  20. McDaniel knows his best shot at getting a SB title on his resume isn’t by being the HC for a rebuilding organization. It’s being the OC for the Chargers.

  22. This is the rise of the Spanos boys! Deano is stepping back and letting his sons do what he always hoped they would. And!? What has Ortiz got to do with this? I realize Harbaugh gets all the credit. But maybe he's just the figurehead?

  23. Great hire! Coming from a dolphins fan he is in conversation as the best offensive mind in football. What went on in Miami wasn't his fault the team was injured and Tua regressed due to injuries and concussions

  28. Speaking of nice things they need to followit up with a nice center!! Mike McDaniels is a good coach, but his last two seasons as a head coach are losing seasons. He needs good players to win. To me the main thing that he needs is a good center. A good guard will help as well.
