Pegula! Glad we finally have an owner who will spend money, Golisano had 10 mill in cap space in 2005 and spent ZERO for playoff run, we had zero backup players when we lost Connolly and 4 starting D men. Pegula spends to cap with Bills, has Amerks a great team for young prospects(loses major money on team) and Sabres always sign their players.
Good stuff as always gentlemen
Just keep Pegula out of the Sabres locker room! š¤£
Trades will fly if any serious injuries at the Olympics. Lord help us if we lose Tage or Dahlin!
18-3-1 in their last 22 before the mathematicians assault me for my 6AM misfire!
Out of this stretch of games a victory over the Leafs would cap off an incredible run for this team!!!
Benson could become a St. Louis with proper conditioning. So much potential.
I remember Craig Button before the draft saying Ostlund reminded him of Patrice Bergeron.
What is going on with Jiri Kulich ?
Benson the "Honey Badger!" They don't care!
Benson is the best passer on the team
āKid lineā is over used. Call this one the āHBO Miniā line
I love benson, loved his play since his rookie year. You could just tell. Those who didn't like him are only looking at goals. Sometimes the only people commenting are those with negative views, not always the majority.
Being from the Sewage pit aka Toronto and now living just east of there I hope the Sabres DESTROY the much hated Sewage pit make me laughs on tuesday night.
Can we talk about Lindy once again being a tactical innovator with this four-man rush and five-man switching? He is coaching creatively and to the personnel (fast and elite offensive defenseman). Itās a huge contributor to this run
With the Sabres playing so well right now, it influences Jarmo's decisions: 1) It changes Tuch's bargaining value, especially if they make the playoffs. 2) Players see playoffs as well, and don't want to be the one who gets traded before it. Lots of incentive for players to play their hardest.
My god it is a pain to listen to you guys, because neither of you have an ounce of personality but just voices that monotone on and on and on. I would rather you type up a interview and have AI read it for you because it would probably sound more human.
Benson uses his sz to his advantage. In the corners he is too small for big defenseman to get leverage and he usually win the battles, just so fun to watch
If I haven't always started my comments with gratitude for the insights of Kris and Matt, let me start by correcting that. Always the first thing I look for, and always high quality and insightful conversation. My question today is, when might we look forward to a live episode again? Not that I take any issue with the early AM format, to the contrary I greatly enjoy the consistency! But I also miss the occasional opportunity to interact in real time. So I thought I'd ask. Cheers!
they are still a little slide away from being out of the wildcard.. so its swampy territory they are in. bank points. if you cant get two, get atleast one.
do you guys even watch these games? Powerless is playing quite well yeah I guess if you count giveaways look clueless on the ice not taking the man in front of the net and waving your stick at people playing good
If you watched the replay of Bennie and Mayfield giving each other grief, at one point Mayfield, with gloves on, punches Bennie in the face. There is at least one player between them (a Sabre??, an Islander???…I don't remember). Anyway, Bennie just takes a swing past the head of the player between them and punches Mayfield right back in the mush…with his gloves still gloves on. Little guy taking no guff. How can you not luv the kid?
Anyone who doesn't believe Dahlin is a physical force, re-watch the 2nd Sabres goal from Saturday vs. the Islanders. He kills a play in their end by coming across and DESTROYING some poor bastard, the Sabres retrieve the puck, and Samuelsson sends them up where Benson makes the clever little pass for Thompson to finish. Play started with Dahlin laying a fool out.
Who is Benson's agent?
Brad Marchand was a 3rd round pick, Zach Benson was a top-15 pick.
Out of all the teams ahead of us only Tampa worries me. We just don't match up well against them. They play a very heavy game much like Florida and we just can't play well against them. Detroit will fall. I wish we had a game against Boston coming up because they are not for real either. And although Pittsburgh is playing better we can beat them too.
Mathew, you are sot on regarding Benson comments!
Hope Benson doesn't start licking the opposition like Marchant š
