Adam Schefter chimes in on AJ Brown after speaking with him at Super Bowl, mentions Myles Garrett, Micah Parsons situations

  1. TL;dr

NFL insider Adam Schefter says the situation with Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown — including rumors he might want out of Philly — isn’t settled and could still go in many directions. Schefter noted he recently spoke with Brown, and reminded fans that star-player situations can change quickly (citing past examples like Myles Garrett and Micah Parsons). Just because there have been trade rumors doesn’t mean a trade is certain, and Brown himself has denied wanting to leave. So for now, his future with the Eagles remains uncertain and “fluid.”

  2. Schefter has basically completed his arc into an engagement merchant. He’s still more informed than most be he still is in it for the clicks more often than not these days.

  3. So what I’m reading is, AJ could be traded OR he could not be traded. What a scintillating revelation.

  4. He’s not going anywhere. New OC, Lane is coming back and the offense will be 🌶️

  5. Translation – Adam doesn’t know. No one actually knows, we’re all just throwing BS around.

  6. Lol, these so called insiders. Anybody with a brain can say that the AJ brown situation can go either way

  7. Love all the back tracking these insiders are now saying. Went from 100% gone to maybe he stays.

  8. Schefter hedging his bets like always. The guy gets paid millions to spout nonsense. Most of his breaking news is him reporting someone else’s info.

  9. I know we COULD carry the cap hit, it would be painful but it’s not unheard of or unthinkable, but I am just really struggling to see a team give up what we would want in return to make it palatable. Like we’re not taking a late 2nd round pick for him or something. Unless the Raiders or something come in hot with a ridiculous offer, I just don’t see us moving him. A trade would have to make sense for the Eagles, and I am just not sure any other teams are willing to give up what we’d need for this to make any sense.

  10. Trading him would be a $40+ million dollar cap hit. Unless we’re getting a mid-range 1 and/or a good player who fills a need (OL), I don’t see a trade happening.

I was listening to First Things First – Nick and Kevin desperately want this trade to happen. For Nick, it weakens the team that destroyed the Chiefs; for Kevin, it magically gets the Pats AJ. They aren’t the only ones living in fantasy land or talking with heavy bias/wishful thinking on behalf of their teams.

  11. So basically AJB maintains he wants to stay but because the media wants a narrative, they continue to speculate that he wants to leave and may get traded, ignoring the fact that financially this isn’t even feasible… got it

  12. I preface to say I don’t want him traded simply because this offense will be much worse off without him.

But his trade value would tank if he publicly stated he’s disgruntled and wants a trade. It’s better for all sides to say they are happy in their current situation regardless of whether that’s true or not.

  13. I’m so tired of this of this uncertainty. If he wants to leave then leave. If he wants to stay, then make it known. Stop beating around the bush. Last thing we need is our star receiver bit**ing again in the middle of the next season. Everybody needs to lock tf in and chase another ring.

  14. It would be awesome if everyone in the media could shut the fuck up about AJ Brown. They’ve all demonstrated they don’t know anything worthwhile, they’ve all been proven wrong time and time again, and this blurb from Schefter basically says “Maybe, maybe not.”

At this point a coin flip is more trustworthy than these people.

  15. lol. adam Schefter is a joke. read what he wrote, it was a lot of words that amounted to well this could happen, but then again maybe it wont. etc. lol. Really don’t know how the guy can be taken seriously
