Legitimately impressed he was 7th percentile run speed. His feet were falling off at that point
I want to see a list of the players with slower sprint speed that year.
2016 Ortiz barely had two functioning legs. I’m surprised he only has -9 base run balue.
It’s always fun to be reminded of a Red Sox immortal.
Man it was so nice having a set and forget DH like him
Can anyone explain that double to right center that went 450 ft?
Imagine how much longer he could have played if his feet hadn’t fallen out from under him. He definitely would’ve gotten to 600 homers.
I’m just impressed by 2 stolen bases.

10 years ago now – wow
Watch the Foolish baseball vid on him. Pretty wild what he did in his final year.
It’s sad when you realize modern-day Red Sox would’ve probably never given Ortiz the shot at his final season because of their age bias
Love Papi…but he was definitely juicing.
One of the great final seasons in baseball history. We miss you Papi
The most unbelievable part is the 6’3 230! Love big papi but come on. I give it 275 imo.
I’m reasonably athletic with a little extra weight in me and I’m 6′ 200. Papi was pretty jacked too. Guy was pushing 300 at times
That xSLG is just silly..
It’s been 10 years?!?!? I completely forgot he wasn’t on the 2018 team. I thought he retired in 2019…
Not to Shabby. Nope.
