  2. Why would he tip his hand to the league on if he’s coming back? There are no great teams this yr. With Tatum the Celtics can win it all. If he’s 100% stop the nonsense and bring him back. If he’s not, don’t.

  3. Its the mental fear of reinjuring his achilles. Players who've gone through this like Dame, Klay, KD and Hail a month later after JT, have reached this mental block. Where they're physically ready but mentally they're unsure. Its common to have some reservations after what he went through, but like KD, Klay, Dame and eventually Hali, he'll get through it.

  9. Browns stuff come off as passive aggressive esp with Tatum out rn but there’s NO WAYYYYYYYT JT SHOULD COMEBACK ITS THE WORST INJURY YOU CAN HAVE IN PRO SPORTS IN 2026 you can’t have the literal franchise comeback and get hurt or re aggravated again – I’d also ship out brown asap

  12. What are these guys seeing, their takes make no sense. The Celtics are an elite team this year, through developing young role players at really cheap prices. Getting out of the tax was a luxury, not a necessity, it just happens we have an elite GM and elite coach who built a contender in the gap year. I think Tatum and the C's are just tempering expectations so that the team doesn't have to deal with media constantly talking about only that, and to avoid distraction while they continue to bring the rest of the team along. I'd guess Tatum comes back in mid March and ramps up progressively. He won't be at his normal 100%, but maybe 80% of his normal self? Really think we could make a surprise run for a title in the weak Eastern conference!

  14. Blameless??! What the hell is this entire segment? The Celtics getting under the tax involved trading one decent bench player that they couldn't re-sign anyway for a need (size), and a bunch of end-of-bench players. They didn't trade the future, they didn't trade the developing talent, and they didn't trade the core. Nobody gave up on the season. There's also no indication that the owners are TRYING not to win, even if it were proven that it wasn't their primary objective this season. BTW, there are also legitimate basketball reasons for wanting to be under the tax, not just the owners being selfish at the expense of the team.

    Brown showing the record of the team is just a sign that he is proud of the team. It is not "F you, Mazzulla / F you Tatum / This is in defiance of the ownership being determined not to contend." There is no mention at all of jealousy in the post, or of Brown complaining, or of some diabolical ploy to screw over someone.

    Also, there's no reason to suspect that Tatum isn't returning. There are legitimately psychological reasons for him to doubt himself a little bit. Meanwhile, there's no reason that he's practicing with the Maine team if he's not playing until October.

    So you created 4 different conspiracy theories based on perhaps-innocuous things that have happened, and then the fans are soft for trusting the team just because you don't?

Its not that he is having a great season its that he knows he was always better snd rightfully pissed, you guys the media saying he is just having a great season instead of oh was he always just better or atleast equal to the people who have the radio and tv shows, thats why he tweets that to tell you so you talk about it cause if not just kwep takking about if tatum comes back while hes top 3 in mvp

  20. Idk this sounds like a reach pinning the stars against each other…I agree it’s asking for his respect though. Brown is showing that he can hold the fort and that the organization can trust him while JT rest up

  23. Celtics should thank the PATS! since we made it to the super bowl wed all rather tatum heals this season and see how far we can go w out him, the PATRIOTS did that for the celtics and the fanbase

  24. I don't blame how JB is some times cause sht like this. JB was booed at draft night, Kyrie & Hayward experiment , questioned his salary wasn't worth a max deal, gets it and goes out and wins conference & finals MVP, make it to the conference finals 5 years and finally win and it's never enough. Obviously as fans we want to work every year but 4 of the top 6 players are game from the last two years and brown has been balling out . Sorry but Tatum has kinda disappointed the last few post seasons but gets all the glory. And everything JB says is scrutinized with a microscope but Tatum talks about he'd have a statue in Memphis and no one mentions it. Tatum has more talent but JB has gotten better every year and never been satisfied. Plus he probably knows if Tatum comes back it's back to dribble dribble dribble huck up a 3 repeat.

  25. I completely disagree about the take on Brown's tweet. If you've watched the Celtics this year you've seen Brown lead not by being an alpha as much as by playing smart basketball, supporting all his teammates. I think the guy is just focused on winning, right now, with the team he has. I think his point is the Celtics right now, sans Tatum, are great. He believes in this team, as well as he should. There's a lot of media chatter about the Celtics will be contenders once Tatum comes back, it probably annoys the hell out of him. We're the 5th or 6th best team in the league, we're already right there.
