Will Bucs Trade For Maxx Crosby?

A big storyline in the NFL right now is whether Maxx Crosby is going to be traded. Many Bucs fans want Tampa Bay to go after him, and it would make sense considering that they need an edge rusher. We’ll talk about the possibility of the Bucs getting it done.

  1. The Bucs absolutely CANNOT trade Godwin the season after he left $20 million on the table to play here (and missed out on a trip to the Super Bowl to do so). Any goodwill they’ve built with the players (and what little is left with the fan base) will go up in smoke. They need to find another way to make it work

  2. I feel like we should go for Chubb at 2 years but almost fully guaranteed. Yes it’s a risk, but Chubb would be a lot more likely to go to us for less if guaranteed.

Chubb imo is also a lot better than Reddick and would cost a lot less than Crosby. If we don’t seriously try for Chubb I will have a hard time seeing us as a serious team this season. It’s rare Edge rushers of his caliber come available for less than 15-20 million a year.

  3. I've been saying this since the end of last season, AWJ is good but I don't think lightning is going to strike again, we should trade him before the rest of the league notices. A great edge rusher with an ok safety is a lot better combo then an all pro safety with Chris "printer paper" Braswell in a Bowles defense.

  4. Maybe it’s a hot-take, but between the Cards, Steelers, Jets, and Rams, one of them is going to need a QB next year. That means we get something in return if they trade up.

I see mocks where we trade down to 21 or 28 or into the second round and get a 3rd back, but really we would need more than that imo. It might not be Herbig or Sweat or Will Macdonald, but I could see us getting a good talent and a 3rd or a 2nd for 4th swap.

The Steelers aren’t going to be able to keep all their D-Linemen anyways lol. That all being said, if Pitt, Miami, Arizona, or LA want to trade up for nothing, let’s just take Howell. I wanna see Licht be hard but firm in his offseason planning.
