  3. One of the Toronto sports shows (a multi sports channel – not Blue Jay specific) blasted Santander pretty bad. Said they didn't ever want to see him in a Blue Jays uniform again. It was rough.

  5. This is a Ross Atkins special. Guy who makes them "younger and more athletic" because he's really good at catching the ball. Not a bad signing, not a good signing. Just…a signing.

    Wait until next year, Santander. You being gone right now is addition by subtraction. When Springer's gone, you can step in and DH and hopefully not suck for the last few years of the deal.

  7. The question that Santander hasn't answered is why did he waited until now to go under the knife? If he had gotten the surgery last September he could have come back mid April to early May. By delaying it til now, it really does look like he's dogging it despite his 'heartfelt denials'.

  9. No slight to Cowles, but have they given up on Leo Jiménez as a backup infielder? He's good defensively, and he's a decent hitter with a bit of power, hitting 4 hrs in 179 ABs in 2024. (Last season's sample size was too small to make any judgment on his hitting) As far as Santander goes, I've more or less written him off for this season, and quite frankly, for his career as a Blue Jay.

  10. Good !! Your better. Don't be to much of a cheer leader. Try and be honest both with yourself and with the players your reviewing. Whether its positive or negative with regards to your analysis be honest, consistent and separate how you feel as opposed as to what you say. If you personally like or dislike an idea then be honest enough to say that this is your personal opinion and you could be wrong. But this is a better version of you, so keep pursuing it and do your homework. Look at those who've made it in the business and the good ones last because they've done their work and know their sh*t.
