Good morning from Steelers Nation Nigeria
The worst GM in the league Hands down the tomlin of gm Omar trash 😂
Morning DK! I hope someone might mention maybe going after Malik Willis. I like you, pray we see some changes, some new dynamics, new and fresh ideas.
If AR comes back I think you can kiss all that goodbye because I think that will be your answer.
Love the show, listen every morning!!!
Art Rooney II: "I don't see the point in wasting a year" (in reference to a rebuild)…..proceeds to "run it back" again…..and again…….and again……and again……and again!!!! He has set the franchise back to the pre Chuck Noll era. I would have never put the Steelers ownership in the same category as Nutting….but Art II has earned that embarrassment.
DK, I object to the notion of "running it back". This coaching staff is nearly 100% new to the Steelers. Personnel aside this team will move differently, scheme differently and play differently. That alone gives me hope.
Hey DK, it's hard working stan the man checking in, have a wonderful day 😀
Run it back to what? 9-8. I love how this organization thinks it’s been successful. They haven’t won anything in more than a decade. They need to blow it up.
I hate thay you stared doing gambling ads. Gambling ruins lives and you are playing a part in normalizing it
Doing a quick Google search, the steelers ran nickel 57% of the time while they were in the 3-4 34% of the time… doesn't this indicate they are a sub package team more than a 3-4 team? Why does 3-4 keep get thrown around
I’m used to the word CHAMPIONS being on that hat that Kahn is wearing in that picture!!!
I'd love for a reporter to ask Kahn and Art the question what are they thinking waiting on a 44 year old QB again. This is just rolling back the last 2 years. Dont you think its about time to change up what your doing to get a different result? DK do you think if Rogers does come back and the steelers draft a WR in first round that Rogers will use him? I dont because Rogers doesnt like rookies. I think they will sign a MVS again for Rogers and will have a poor WR group again.
Is Will Howard not going get a chance at QB1? The whole offense will improve this year with new Coaching staff. Howard needs to get a look before they draft another QB, just my humble opinion. Use all those draft picks to build WRs and DBs, that's our weakness, I don't think will Howard is a weakness
Fields would be cheaper than Willis. Bring him back!!!
I will never be convinced that Justin fields sucks.
It doesn't matter if you run the 4-3 or the 3-4. All that matters is that you have the right personnel to ru the defense you choose. There may be a slight advantage to running whichever defense isn't the current fad around the league, though, because you'll have less competition for the types of players you want.
Really this team should’ve moved on from Tomlin when Ben retired. Tomlin was never going to develop the next QB. Have been “running it back” for 5 years too long already.
One of the many reasons this is my Go to place for all things Pittsburgh sports, is everything opinions you espouse is always backed up by actual observation & analysis, I trust your eyes and assessment of what you see more than anyone & right or worng I know they are well thought out.
Great stuff as always DK!!
I just hoping they begin constructing the roster in a manner where each aspect can be built upon, even if the answer at certain positions aren't ideal in the now.
As much respect as I have for Rodgers for so many reasons, he doesn't want to hang in the pocket and let concepts develop. That's hampering the development of the rest of the offense to have the most wins possible in 2026.
I'm very excited to see what Omar can do without the constraints of Mike T. Lots of things, like trading for DK, the Minkah trade, & extending TJ (all pretty terrible moves in retrospect) scream "Mike T moves". I acknowledge my bias here though. I just think any defensive HC who can't/won't marry their pass rush + coverage plan within most of their non-base calls is probably the most overrated coach in North American sports history (& #2 isn't close, stability has been proven to be immensely valuable, 2-3 wins per year).
Excellent reply to the J1Q
42 year old QB!! Come on DK lol! Won't be 43 for months!
Over the years I've really wondered about the use of our 3-4 it feels different from most teams and going back to what Chris said about linebackers it felt like guys had to be absolutely perfect for it to work. Several of the recent superbowl champs have dominated with just rushing 4 D LINEMAN.
And for the j1q love others are starting to notice Taylen Greene
So if we get Willis, then it would not make sense to draft a QB in next years draft. He is young and talented, and McCarthy has a track record of developing the position. My personal issue is I don't like short QBs unless their name is Brees. Steeler Nation 242 🇧🇸
No DK he never improved when he was in Tennessee. He got him into play it seemed like about a dozen times and he fumbled the ball at least half of those or more. And I mean fumble the snap he just could not hang on to the football and that was already known about him. It proved to be true. Admittedly he's looked much better for the Packers when he got his chance but he hasn't had much of a chance and he come in and played well against the crappy Titans. I seen enough of this dude. And in one of those Packers games he played really well until the end of the game and then he fumbled the ball. I think he has small hands I'm not sure what the deal is but it will be a miracle if he's anything other than a backup quarterback. I hope he does better than that and I wish him well, but I don't want to see him in the black and gold as another experiment at the quarterback position
