The Golden State Warriors Found A Bright Spot
Kristaps Porziņģis made his Warriors debut against the Celtics, flashing promise in limited minutes despite Golden State falling behind early and ultimately taking the loss. With Stephen Curry sidelined through the end of February, the pressure is on Porzingis to help stabilize a team clinging to the 8th seed and the play-in picture. Can the Warriors survive this stretch—and how much can the Unicorn realistically change their ceiling?

The Golden State Warriors Found A Bright Spot

Excellent first game. Showed his midrange game three pointers and inside ability plus two blockes in limited minutes. Looking forward to seeing him play with Curry. Best of luck and wish him well.
If porzingus can turn the clock and drop 30 a game with steph dropping 30, they have a great shot, But rest of the bench has to hoop. It pisses me jb is gone. A healthy kp with steph and jimmy is a playoff elevator. They would drop 80 together no problem
Hope he stays healthy. There are a lot of NBA players who aren't ranked higher because they always get injured…not because they show weakness when they are on the court. Kawhi leonard is another example.
Will always be a fan of this guy.
As a Celtics fan… put KP in the right system and he will drop 20-10 easy!! His passing is underrated too. He just won’t go hard when the team is out there joking around. Look how he played with Celtics compared to Mavs.
If KP is healthy and he plays together with Curry, the defense will have a nightmare. KP can score inside and outside, then Curry moves well without the ball. Role players will have open looks.
After trading young players for old injured golden state will never reach playoffs final
If you watch enough NBA over the course of decades this is a familiar scenario. A club bringing together proven veterans for a seemingly formidable team only to be undermined by the ravages of age. However, the course of time has also seen the advancement of sports science, physical therapy and conditioning techniques which I daresay had enabled Lebron James to mine the most of his genetic potential. Early in Steph's career, it seemed his constant ankle injuries would curtail his budding career but the Warriors training staff, through use of computer aided analysis, were able to identify the root causes and the correct approach to address these issues. My hope is that the present training staff has the wherewithall to optimize the now aged Warriors stars abilities to achieve their best however that turns out.
Honestly i think so long as he’s a warrior he should be under a minute restriction, ideally 24 minutes a game on average, maybe a bit longer in clutch games. If that could keep him available throughout the season then that would be fantastic.
Kerr & Dunleavy got to go. No NBA star talent wants to play with Kerr/Dunleavy.
