[Walker] Tough day for the people (and media) who were still whining about NYR captain J.T. Miller and Vincent Trocheck making Team USA months after they were named. Crazy.
They’re Olympic gold medalists after playing a PERFECT PK role that majorly factored into this final game.
I mean, it’s not like half the USA team couldn’t play the PK, I still feel bad for Fox getting axed for fucking Lacombe and Sanderson, like seriously, lacombe??

I’ll be honest, I was very surprised with how good JT was in the checking role. Overall he is a clearly very good player. Pure offense, he’s a no brainer for the team, but I just felt that was a poor fit for the bottom 6. Defense isn’t his strong skill
Trochek was obvious a fit like a glove for that.
I’m glad we won, but the second period on was all goalie. From the 3rd period of the semi finals through this game our offense was impotent at 5 on 5.
At the end of the day what matters is that they won.
Need them to bring that here for the rest of the season

I can’t wait for them to come back to this team and be shells of what they were at the Olympics.
Maybe they can concentrate on their day jobs now.
I questioned it and made fun of it when announced, but they did it. They were perfect on the PK and won a gold medal. I was wrong, Guerin was right….thats why I’m sitting on my couch.
I’ll be the first to admit the team proved me immensely wrong. I absolutely think they could’ve been better still, but the special teams were outstanding and the rest of the team got the job done.
Hopefully they can get a haul for Trocheck.

This team played an elite squad from Canada that, on paper, should have won. Look at the 3 players in OT— McKinnon, McDavid, and Macar! I mean holy shit! The 3best players in the league and USA pulls it off! That was an amazing game!!!

I love it!!! This won’t shut the crybabies up about JT though. They something to cry about. He played a critical role. The 5 on 3 was spectacular!
