2. I mis-read the title and couldn't believe they traded a DE for an OT. That made absolutely no sense at all. I quickly scanned the comments and everyone was saying it was a good trade for the Jets. WTF Why trade for a back up offensive tackle???!!! Then I reread the title. It was T'Vondrae Sweat not T Vondrae Sweat. "Reading is fundamental" I should try it sometime.

3. We have had the most success on defense when we were 3-4 instead of 4-3 since I’ve been a fan. Would I like to see a switch probably. Sad to see him go, but saving cap space and potentially drafting a replacement this year will put us in a decent spot for a rebuild of the defense

6. So is Will McDonald moving to OLB for the 3-4? Is Briggs gonna be a DE? So many questions now. I guess Arvell Reese is in play to be one of the OLB/EDGE players now. And what happens to Harrison Phillips? At least we'll be getting rid of multiple guys who should be in the UFL (McGregor, Page, ect.)

7. Love this! Clears the way for Reese/Baily/Bain then BPA offense at 16 and 33 without having to reach for a rookie DT

15. All this proves is the Jets don't keep 1st round picks.. Be prepared for the #2 defensive pick to be traded by 2030 and the defense to be ranked near the bottom.

16. There‘s a good chance that both players really shine on their new teams. It will be spun that the Jets lost the trade in 2 years, but I like the trade.

18. Loved J.J. But this is a great trade. I wanted them to draft Reese with the number 2 pick and now that makes even more sense. Go Jets!

19. I don’t think they move to a 3-4 necessarily , I do believe this gives them the flexibility to use it more though. It won’t matter if they don’t address our glaring need at the linebacker and safety positions in free agency and the draft. Arvell Reese looks like a lock at 2 unless something unexpected pops up. He gives them a chess piece to move around on defense.

20. So the Jets needed an edge , so they traded an edge for a DT, which is the easiest position to fill , so they can draft 2 edges..

21. I wanted Linderbaum or Karlaftis in 2022; Johnson is overrated & not worth the huge investment; I would let breece & AVT go too. Don’t pass on Downs

22. Titan fan here… as long as you guys are picking up so many players from us, you should consider trying to trade for Will Levis…you need a quarterback and he’s gonna be a good one! Maybe you could offer up someone else on defense that Salah likes… like maybe a cornerback

23. You are short changing T'Vondre Sweat against the pass. Ok, he doesn't get the sacks but he caves in the middle of the offensive line and pushes the guards backwards into the pocket which keeps the QB in the pocket so that the edge rushers can get the sack. That is an important attribute that the Jets needed on the defensive line

    My only concern is everybody knows next year there’s gonna be a new coaching staff. Hopefully this isn’t a situation where we switched back to a 43 and need new personnel again.
