Things just keep getting BETTER for OKC…
Even though the Oklahoma City (OKC) Thunder fell short to Cade Cunningham’s top-seeded Detroit Pistons, yet another young player is popping his potential in absence of the reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA), All-NBA Jalen Williams (JDub), 2026 NBA All-Star Chet Holmgren, and more. Jaylin Williams (Jay-Will, J-Will) always brings the bright smile and the vibes to the OKC Thunder locker room. But the 2022 NBA Draft’s 34th overall pick has been bringing it to the court as of late, especially in his starting opportunities. Posting a career high 30 points with a double-double against the NBA’s top team from the east, the new-era bad boy Pistons, Williams is showing tenacious physicality, 3 point shooting, and playmaking that can propel Oklahoma City back to the NBA Finals. Gabriel Ebersole breaks down Williams’ game and numbers, especially in games with heavy minutes.

Dropping 30 against the 2nd best team in the league when all our starters were out is wild
Big Thunder fan here. Enjoy the channel. Just one suggestion. The VO drops in volume on every wipe. This makes it hard to understand and is annoying. The whoosh sound effect compounds the effect. Don’t mean to be harsh. I am a longtime sound engineer. This is a simple fix. I do love the content. I have always considered J Will to be a key to the Thunder. Good to see him adding more on the court. He is a special roll player. Always one of my favorites. Been a fan since the beginning. Keep up the good work.
Love JWIL
I want to challenge some people that seem to switch up on our guys. Should JWILL (as great as he’s been playing given the mins) start over Chet simply because he scored 30pts and facilitates the offense better than Chet?
Basketball rotations aren’t as simple as people think. You adjust your lineup based on what you need, not what fans think makes sense to them (example Caso replacing Dort in the starting lineup)
It’s annoying because I’m noticing that any time a player struggles, fans automatically want the next man up. If Caso were to start over Dort , and he has a rough stretch, are we going to say McCain needs to start over him ?
Do we look at JWill as Collison 2.0?
Just look at the first 3 losses to the spurs. Jwill went out in the NBA CUP. Then missed the next 2 outings at Xmas. I think they should utilize Kenny hustle in the same manor. We still have nearly all our champs from last years roster. Keeping this rotation fluid is gonna be the key to a repeat. Fully healthy noone will stop us. I think Dagnault is playing the injuries like a genius. When 1 or 2 big names are out he sits other players with minor injuries too when playing top ranked teams. Smart. Keeping us rested thru the year. Keeping major injury risk to a minimum.( Although Jdub reagrivating the hammy in the 4th when he just came back was questionable)😠 But it keeps teams from getting a true test of what we are at full strength. We really are the best on every front. Glad to be a fan. THUNDER UP
JWill is a tremendous role player and we're lucky to have him. he does everything well and his ability to knock down threes consistently is huge plus he's one of the few players in the NBA that will actually take a charge. he actually is more talented offensively than most fans realize and when he got his chance to get more shots up with all of those guys out against Detroit he certainly showed it.
Nick Collison 2.0
