1. Keep mathews?? 1 goal last ten games( season on the line) minus 11 second half of the season. 0 goals in the 3 games that mattered at the Olympics. 0 goals at 4 nations. He is the problem.

Of course, it might not be the people in charge of the Leafs, but the ones in charge of those people. I noticed fans tossing jerseys on the ice over the last few years. I have to wonder how long it took those fans they needed to replace the jerseys.
    I'll admit I'm a Habs fan and this is the most fun I've had since the '21 playoffsw.

14. I'm honestly thinking the under on Steve's 2.5 trades made. The only trade I expect is trading what few assets they have for a bottom 6 forward or 3rd pairing defenseman so they can miss the playoffs by a few less points to give the Bruins the 6th overall pick.

    And then we'll see McMann walk for nothing, other pending UFAs walk for nothing, and people that'll try and convince you that Rogers isn't just the modern age Harold Ballard.

18. Why keep Matthews and Nylander? They are part of this losing decade. Keep them and the losing decade still hangs over this team. I was a Nylander fan boy too. I now realize that Nylander would be a great player on a Stanley Cup team. But you have to have the team first, then add Nylander. Trying to build a team around those two guys didn't work when they were in their prime. why would it work now that they are on the downside?
    Start from scratch. Cowan is about the only untouchable in my mind, because he is still raw and moldable. And the goaltending. The rest is up for grabs.
