  1. The Devils announcer said it best at the beginning of the Bruins game- "the Devils play for pride, the Bruins play for positioning!"

    Result: 0-4 for the Bruins.

Devils ZERO goals and ZERO pride! That pretty much reflects the whole season…

This has become a value and effort issue and goes way beyond the physical part of ice hockey! When your top-line center constantly gives up on backchecking, loses his opponent, and is, while extremely highly skilled, the league's best give-away machine, then he sends a message to all defenders who block shots and fight, fixing his mistakes.

In none of the five goal situations (including the offside goal) was the Bruins' goal scorer under pressure, nor did a Devils player have physical contact with the opponent!

Lots of puck watching and ZERO backchecking!

I am so surprised white skates and red baseball caps don't help you in faceoffs (35%!!!), but they seem to slow you down backchecking! The organization told their fans how much pride #86 takes in his defensive part of the game – who are they kidding? Us, or themselves?

There is nothing older in ice hockey than the golden goal one scored two months ago, and there is no worse insult for an athlete than wasted talent.

Keefe had a similar situation with the Leafs – a ton of talent and not too much to show for… is it Keefe or are highly talented teams just a thing of the past?

  2. I never thought Jack deserved to wear the A in the past, but man how much he’s grown. I see him as a future Captain now. Pleasure to have him here in Jersey
