Seattle Seahawks are STILL Richard Sherman’s Super Bowl favorites after NFL offseason departures

Richard Sherman breaks down why the Seattle Seahawks are STILL his Super Bowl favorites despite losing key players like Coby Bryant, Kenneth Walker III, and Riq Woolen this NFL offseason. From Sam Darnold’s growth and mistake-free playoff run to the dominance of Mike Macdonald’s defensive scheme, Sherman explains why Seattle’s success is no fluke. He also dives into John Schneider’s roster strategy, why the team isn’t being “too conservative,” and how depth, development, and continuity could make them even stronger next season.

  1. Word of advice for the rest of the league. Disabuse yourself from the notion that Seattle losing pieces is equivalent to all of you having gained ground, much less caught up.

  2. Oh c’mon Richard. The Rams are the favorites. They were good last year and are better this years. The Seahawks were good last year and not nearly as good this year. On paper. Of course this all subjective.

  3. Sam is still so young and developing. The WR group is going to pop even more this year. Rory went back to back and Seahawks are looking like they will too.

  4. We got the SF 49ers making moves. The Rams making moves and having 2 first round picks!! To keep up with our division alone is gonna be a tough task even for the great John Snyder. IF he can get Miles Garrett to come to Seattle, JS will have once again pulled a rabbit 🐇 out of his hat!! 🎩 Signing Dexter Lawrence would be a great move too in my opinion. Either one of these players makes us better and that’s a scary 😱 thought. 😮

  5. I became a fan of seattle due to you richard. Thank you for standing up for your old team. I think they're gonna win again this year as well. My brother feels the 49ers. Are gonna win this year. He's a buccaneer fan. But stupid, michael evans got transferred to the forty niners. So he thinks with evans and mccaffrey, they're going to win. That's a no especially with old ass evans.

  6. Richard Sherman, I was working for Kliemann Brothers Heating and Air. We installed your heating system in your house. Your neighbors have 12 signs painted on their barns!
They absolutely love Richard Sherman in that neighborhood!!! I say that only to say I brag about that all the time. It’s one of the best work related memories I have. I pushed the call button on your gate playing around. Saying, “Richard! Richard! it’s Sam open up!!” Like you knew me or something! Of course no answer so I said, “no worries Richard gave me the code.” 😜 we had the the code from the PM. The guys believed that I had Richard Sherman’s gate code!!! It’s probably not funny to anyone else but me. I get that. BUT seriously, RS is my all-time favorite cornerback!!! He was the most cerebral CB of all time. Not even close. RS wasn’t the fastest. He wasn’t the most athletically gifted either. But if you know then you know. RS wasn’t the most unselfish. He assisted on the majority of big plays by being in the right position. He forced ball carriers into tackles by other players. UNSELFISHLY making plays without getting the credit he deserved. No cap. He also played his position and shut down a whole side of the field. His smack talk game was next level!! His production in a 3 year span was unmatched and also not recognized by the crooked sports media. RS was an absolute BEAST!!! You play the Seahawks and RS was gonna make his mark on the game one way or another. The clips of him talking trash to Brady or embarrassing Crabtree are only the ones they caught on film. RS had players benched from getting too frustrated with him. Their coach would have to pull them out the game to cool them off at times. I’ve seen it live. RS wasn’t the type of player that talked his stuff and backed it up EVERYTIME!!! The dude came out of Stanford and straight led the league in interceptions when there were other HOF cornerbacks he was competing against. IF he ain’t in the HOF already he should be!! RS was the TRUTH!! LOB 4 LIFE!!! In my opinion he was the face of the LOB. Maybe I’m biased but when you say LOB the 1st one that comes to my mind is RS.

  7. The SB LX champ Hawks lost less than the SB XLVIII champ hawks. That team went back to the SB and should have won it. It'd be foolish to not expect Seattle being there at the end in LA for SB LXI at this point.

  8. So glad to see John Schneider getting some due respect for putting together a winning team. Before was Pete Carroll most of the accolades but JS has shown he has what it takes going solo.

  9. Some folks forget how many big contributors the Seahawks lost from that 2013 championship team to the 2014 season. Golden Tate, Chris Clemons, Brandon Browner, Sidney Rice, Walter Thurmond and several more. They still went right back to the Super Bowl. And should have won but that’s beside the point. John Schneider and Mike Macdonald will find guys to replace K9, Mafe, Woolen, Coby, etc. And they’ll find those players without spending big money in free agency.
