“Now, could they trade out? One is an interesting question, and definitely one of the bigger storylines we’re gonna be following up with the draft, because it’s pretty clear Fernando Mendoza [is the] number one [pick for the] Las Vegas Raiders. But where Ty Simpson goes will go a long way in determining, for teams like the Texans or those teams kind of in that area, whether they actually make the pick or not. Because you have a couple teams still in need of a franchise quarterback. The Jets, who have their first pick at the second round—that is one. You have the Arizona Cardinals also early, I believe right after the Jets in the second round as well. Could one of them take a quick leap up, maybe trade with the Texans and take Ty Simpson? That’s one scenario to watch going forward.”

  10. I would not trade for any of these guys. They’re all good players but you’ll not only be giving up a massive draft haul but you the have to pay them and the Texans bills are coming due soon. I’d take my chances through the draft

  14. Brewer would be a good addition. Late 2nd and 7th is reasonable. Become instantly better at C with flexibility to play guard. Still need to add a Center in the draft and DLine plus LB

I would say Kyle pitts I think the Texans DEFINITELY need another TE to throw to we all saw how stagnant this offense looked in the playoffs without a solid run game, Nico Collins being injured and in all honesty Shultz was the only reliable guy getting that ball AND THEN he was out with injury and that felt like game over so why not get a guy who I think can still show elite talent at TE paired with Dalton

  25. The cost for Lawrence seems too hefty a price and just not worth it. There’s plenty of younger talent at DT in the draft with more tread on the tires we could take. I’d like to see Demeco get his guy at DT in the draft and develop him. I may entertain a trade for Kyle Pitts if it’s a 2027 2nd round pick & 2026 late round pick we give up for him. Pitts is still 25, so we get plenty of serviceable years out of him still.

  30. I would Trade for Pitts all Day.. i'm telling you what strouds needs. Is a security blanket, and that would be kyle pitts he's Fast he can catch he is a the difference maker.

  32. No keep the high picks. I think they will trade down as this draft is good for the 2nd and 3rd rounders, plus they will save money by not picking in the first round.

  34. Nick Caley does love some TE’s, so I can see them signing pitts. Give him the “cesario special” (1 or 2yr deal)

The only pick I would give up for either of the 4 is that first second round pick we have alone….or the other second round pick and a late pick…..that's it…that's all…..no way I'm giving a 1+2 this year…they smoking dope and dogfood…..a high second round pick which we have and a late pick is fair for either of those guys

I'd love to have Lawrence in the middle of our defense, but he's already too expensive, espcially with our upcoming Anderson and maybe Stroud deals, and he wants even more money, not to mention Giants want a lot of draft capital for him. Pitts could be intriguing but he has spent most of his career underperforming his talent, not sure how much of that was the team/scheme around him or if he doesn't consistently play hard, which would be a problem here.

  37. I'd love to get Sadiq if he somehow gets close enough to us, and i made that trade happen in one of my mock drafts. With that said, i think the absolute latest he realistically gets drafted is #14 to the Ravens, and if he did somehow slip to #19, i think the Panthers would take him to add another versatile weapon to their offense rather than potentially looking for another WR with one of their top couple picks.
