  1. Really good series win! Shota was lights out after giving up a home run to start the game. Bats were electric, shoutout Matt Shaw tonight. Nico is going to have a career year, what a ball player. Keep it rolling Cubbies!

  2. You know what I’d like to thank the Phillies for so thoroughly whooping our ass in Game 1 because it was apparently the beatdown we needed to wake up our offense 🙏

  3. Feels like the first series win in Philly in like forever. Over .500 finally this week 🤞

  4. Excellent series win – offense showed up huge and Shota looked great!

  5. I have a feeling Seiya’s gonna be tapping his helmet a lot this season. MLB is not ready for my boy being unchained.

  6. Also the fact that Nico currently has 18 RBI this year with only 3 coming from homers is WILD

    SMALL BALL RISP KING

  7. If Nico goes .300/.400/.500 with gold glove 2nd base d and excellent base running we may have a dark horse mvp candidate on our hands

  8. It’s a lot easier to hit when the weather is decent (or when playing indoors). Either way, the Cubs being Top 5 in hard hit % in MLB has suggested the offense was likely going to see results at some point. They were fortunate to get to Luzardo today after having to face Sanchez on Monday. When the offense clicks, we now know what it looks like.

Nico has progressed into a superstar.

Shota appears to be back to 2024 form. This was a prove-it year for him, and he’s stepping up, which is especially valuable now with two starters down.

    Keep it going.

  9. Does anyone recall last year when PCA was batting like .190 going into the LA/SD week and then went off? I think he’s heating up for an upcoming California streak.

  10. If Dansby can do this more consistently I’d be very excited to see where this season goes.

  11. Very funny reading the Phillies subreddit on a night like tonight. A lot of it is honestly 100% verbatim what you read here after a loss. “We’ll be lucky to go 81-81”, “It’S EaRlY – doesn’t matter this team fucking sucks”, “the wins count the same in April vs September”

  12. You’ll never believe it, but Kyle Tucker just grounded out to first and looked like he couldn’t care less as he jogged to the dugout

  13. Nico is just that guy. So happy he got his paycheck and is off to such a good start.

  14. Last two starts for Imanaga: 12 innings – 3 hits – 1 run – 21 strike outs

That is Sandy Koufax like. And to think, Jed decided to decline the 3-year club option on the guy this winter and make him a free agent. Thank goodness Imanaga decided to take the free agent qualifying offer.
