  1. As good as Sadiq is, I’d still rather see the Bucs trade back and pick up an extra second-rounder this year. The only way I’m staying put is if Caleb Downs or Sonny Styles somehow fall to 11… which realistically, they won’t.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up around 23 and take CJ Allen or the best 6’6+ tackle/guard on the board, then grab a big-bodied WR like Dezel Boston at 46, and a nasty EDGE at 55 like Malachi Lawrence. That would be a dream draft.

Linebacker is a need with David gone, but we’ve got young guys worth trusting, so that could be addressed later at 55 with a Mike or Will.

A wild scenario would be the Patriots trading up with us for a package like a 1st, 2nd, and a future 1st—but that’s dreaming.

Realistically, I think the bigger issue is offense. The O-line was battered, Mauch was injured, and still injured, we didnt have the same players out ONCE!! AND BAKER STILL DELIVERED… the WR room was beat up beyond repair and we were still losing by 3 points / 1 point, we went from 5-0, super bowl talks and MVP CHANTS to 8-9, with our whole team on IR, AND STILL NEARLY WENT TO THE PLAYOFFS, and Evans leaving doesn’t help, BUT – you wont like this, Longer term and contract wise, its for the best, if he gets injured and we have to target him again only when we have those young guys and stacked room, it doesn't make sense.. all of this, That’s not something you fix with one pick, especially not a luxury one like Sadiq, no matter how good he is or how much of a fit he is..

People forget this team backs its defense, back its young guys and develops from within, we tried the big signing in Haasan Reddick, and he got one pressure… Trust in Braswell, Al-Quadin, Diaby, and Kancey, WALKER will be like a new signing—especially with guys playing for contracts. Vita Vea is still elite, but you can see the wear and tear.

Baker is going to need a contract, we can't be spending big in free agency – Vea is coming up the same year… 5th year guys. We one bad draft away from a long rebuild…

Honestly, I think we’re set up to go heavy on EDGE and DT in 2027.

But what do I know… I’m just a Bucs fan from the UK dreaming big.

  2. Running Mock drafts with the staff is happening daily now until the 23rd when this draft starts as I'm more than sure their selections will be based on the positions themselves and having prospects to take top spots when changes are made the following year. Every position of the team is important, and the needs are made to be adjusted based upon selections prior.

  3. History will probably repeat. The Bucs will not properly address their insufficiencies once again. The NFL South has become competitive, and have actually overtaken the Bucs at this point in time. The Saints Kellen Moore and Panthers Dave Canales have successfully transformed their teams. The only question mark is the choice of Kevin Stefanski for the Falcons. Will he immediately turn the team around or fail again.
