  2. Missed it because I took my son to the Peoria game. We got to chat briefly with Tai Peete and Rainiel and I was impressed with their approach and professionalism. Tai has a much larger frame than I thought. Rainiel can just flat out hit (3/4, 3 2B), although his throwing looked raw. Both kids don't skip leg day.

    I was surprised at how thin the staff really is at that level. It also dawned on me that English isn't the first language for a lot of these guys who are still <23 and the challenge in overcoming that with staffing at a level where so much instruction is implemented.

  3. Small ball. Oli knows the limitations of this team and is pulling wins out by playing that way. I don't know why Whitey ball wouldn't work today. I know it's all about homeruns and strikeouts but I think you could still be successful the old fashioned way.

  4. While it's true we have bullpen issues Jo Jo and Riley have been awesome. We probably won't win 80 games but these guys are fun to watch. Go cards

  5. Once again he puts in the arsonist to make a comfortable victory uncomfortable. Great baserunning and putting the ball in play instead of 6 guys that all they want to do is hit moonshots. With the wet weather its not too conducive to the HR. JJ hit the sac fly on another day probably travels to the fence and making over it. We need a couple more guys soon to see if we can be a better ball club at least one a middle relief guy no more Svanson Stanek or Bruel unless we are down 4 runs or more or up 6 runs LOL

  8. Gorman, non hussle, on a ball hit to left field was never mentioned by yours truely. His lack of hitting is killing the vibe in STL. I would like see a person with talent and hussle have a shot and send him down or away. Remember the way O"Neill was treated by Oli for lack of hussle. Oli needs to be consistant
