Good Luck to the Flyers, Phillies, and Sixers

  1. I mean last decade was great.

But “making the playoffs” is the fucking bare minimum for Philly sports teams. It’s not really a big celebration thing.

  2. a golden area is more than one team winning an award. we are not in one by any stretch. closest was 2001 when the eagles got to the NFC championship, Sixers got to the finals, and the Flyers were a good team. phillies were trash though.

80-84 was probably phillys golden area

  3. A few years ago three of them made it to their respective championships… and all lost. It didn’t feel very golden, but at least the Eagles redeemed themselves a couple years later.

  4. New England/Boston has ruined sports for just about everyone. Set the expectations way too high. We have had a lot of success in Philly for a long time. Just not every freaking year.

  5. Only here for the Eagles…feels like I just seen my friends all bonding with their secret families. I’m disgusted but not surprised.

  6. Penn and Nova in the tournament too. No Big 5 team had made it in three years.

Last time no team made March Madness was like 1975 or something.

  7. I moved to south Philly in 2018 and it’s been great seeing the teams I loved watching as a kid do so well while I’m living here.

  8. JFC, golden era? Phillies and Sixers have underperformed, and flyers have been awful and snuck into the playoffs.

Stop letting these kids born in the 2000s post this garbage.

  9. Some teams just gotta get over the hump man. It’s going to be about time.

  10. Golden age probably had to be the 80s or 2000s if we are talking about most teams that made runs.

  11. Golden Era? Sure, they were all above average teams last year, but even being contenders is a stretch. Not for lack of talent on any of the 3 teams that got bounced early, just because none of them were able to put it together. Flyers are the opposite by being a scrappy team that’s put it together. Way more fun to root for, honestly

  12. First time with the Union as well (Union were not around the last time this occurred)
