i think we are getting a little ahead of ourselves with this.
IF one of the teams loses tomorrow we will have two lottery picks.
there will be a 95-97% chance the losing team’s pick is 13th or 14th. a jump to the top 4 would be an absolute miracle.
our own pick has a 37% chance of being a top 4 pick. that’s not a likely outcome. there’s a 54% chance our pick ends up 7-10.
so really the most likely outcome IF one of the teams we need to lose loses tomorrow, is that we end up with something like 7 and 14. maybe 8 and 13. we have a little better than 1/3 shot of getting a single top 4 pick. getting both would be the luckiest draft lottery in the history of the league.
