[RocketsWire] Udoka on coaching Sengun hard: “When I got here, he asked for it. He said, ‘I don’t want you to sweep anything under the rug. Be direct and blunt.’ We’ll have our debates back and forth during games, which I don’t mind at all.”

  1. I want to see this team next year with an actual point guard and offensive coordinator. Don’t agree with firing Ime

  2. The problem is, in previous environments in Alpi’s life, he wasn’t the only one getting coached hard. Imagine all your colleagues making mistakes (naturally) here and there but your boss only calling you out. If Udoka was an honorable man, he would treat his players equally and would not use Alpi’s professionalism as an excuse of injustice.

  3. There’s a big difference between being tough on someone and throwing under the bus. Jeez, this clown’s hypocrisy is killing me. It took this brain-rot an entire season to figure out that Amen’s better in the dunker spot and he’s saying that he don’t mind to having debate. If this “glorified defensive coordinator” actually open to any debate, we would have finished the season 3rd place. What a joke.

  4. alpi said that when he first got here as a rookie. hes a two times all star now.

also I believe he did not say hey ime go ahead and publicly call me a terrible fucking defender that hasn’t improved a bit since I got here. Ime doesn’t know how to be that ” tough ” coach.

  5. All this self righteous shit by people on here makes me sick. Y’all act like Udoka is the devil and trying to sacrifice Sengun like a lamb.

  6. Alpi is man enough to talk to Ime man to man if he felt he was being disrespected

  7. Kind of figured segun was ok with the tough coaching . Isn’t that pretty normal in Europe

  8. This is why Ime always wants to fight Sengun. It’s tough love and why Sengun is mentally stronger now.
