I currently own five 59FIFTY Cubs caps in various designs and wear them on a daily basis, but I am just not a jersey-wearing guy. I think that is about to change.

Nico isn't just a great ballplayer, he seems like a genuinely good dude. All he does is bike to the farmer's market with his lady, listen to Khruangbin, spray hits all over the field and win Gold Gloves.

Definitely my favorite player on the current roster. Maybe in my top 10 of players in my lifetime.

  1. I’ve only ever had one jersey and it was Aramis Ramirez. I started doing shirts and what not instead but I may need to get a Nico one now too!

  3. Join us … Nico’s jersey is the first one I ever bought. I just got a Shota jersey, upgrading from my Shota shirt. 

  4. I was thinking the same, but every time I buy a cubs jersey, the player is gone within a year or two.

  7. My first true Jersey was 2016 gold baez and I need another. I really want that 150 year anniversary one and I’m struggling to either chose from Nico or Sosa.

  9. I’m so happy that I decided to get a Nico jersey like 4 years ago. I’ve always been a big fan of his and it’s so cool that he’s now become a star and getting the recognition he deserves. This will be the year he gets his first all star appearance. 

  11. I didnt buy a sports jersey until a few months ago. My first was a Bedard jersey and then he got injured later that same day, then a DJ Moore jersey and then he gets traded, I also got a PCA WBC Jeremy and thankfully he hasnt been injureded or traded.

  12. I dont buy jerseys anymore. As soon as I do the player gets delt or long term injury. Wood, Prior, Schwarbs to name a few. Its all my fault, friends.

  14. Great choice! Nico is invaluable to the franchise and a stand up human being. You will never regret that purchase.

  16. I had Baez since the WS, just got Shotas in Kanji letters last year. I’m now debating on Horners, PCA or Assad(fellow paisa).

  17. Have the vendors outside Wrigley come up with anything better than “Me So Hoerner”? I hope so!

  21. I feel like if you watched the cubs from 2008-2011 you had to buy a Fukudome jersey! That and my Baez jersey are my favorites

  22. I didn’t know he was a khruangbin guy, it’s always interesting when a ball player has good taste. 

  23. I was just telling my son yesterday that he has entered my top 5 favorite all time Cubs. I’ve always had a soft spot for him because I got to be at his MLB debut and well, he’s awesome. But knowing he’s a Cub for life just absolutely solidified it. He’s been my favorite on this team for a longtime but he’s quickly climbed the ranks of my all time cubs team.

  25. I hear ya. As far as the current team goes, I got Nico’s jersey his first year with the team because I knew he was foing to be something special. Just a gut feeling. Got Imanaga’s his first year for the same reason and I love that they have proven me right every year since. I think I may get Happ because of his longevity with the team (I truly think he will stay a Cub for his career), and/or PCA because I get that same “this dude’s gonna be somebody” feeling with him. Welcome to the club!
