26. @5:45 hopefully this is used as a teaching moment for future double-plays to not only prevent them from being so close but prevent them from being too late for an out. The wind-up to throw to first should start before even stepping on 2nd base and timed so that the ball is coming out of the hand slightly after stepping on the bag/dragging your tail foot over it. The wind-up here was started so late that both feet were able to tap dance on second before the ball was thrown to first. That's why it was so close. I went through drill after drill when I was younger for this exact thing. It's normal as you move up levels and the game gets quicker, but it can create a habit if not addressed as soon as it's discovered. Dubon is a rookie so he's nowhere near his ceiling yet and the pros are experts at identifying and correcting things like this.
