At Least One Key Question About Next Season Has Been Answered. Craig Laughlin and Joe Beninati will Return for Their 30th Season Together in September!!!
Caps fans are just so exceedingly lucky to have had Joe B and Craig calling games. They’re world class hockey announcers and I’m thrilled that they’ll return. May they never wish to retire!
Lived 25 years in DC and then moved to the midwest. I pay for Hulu/ESPN for the local feed, gladly. Listening to Joe B and Locker is the only way to watch the Caps.
Was there a question about this??? I know they can’t go on forever, but can they at least go on until I’m done?

All is right with the world when these 2 are calling the game
I’m not ready for the day it’s somebody else in the booth
It’s wild to me that Joe B and Locker had only been together ~10 years when Ovi came into the league. That’s still a long time, but the two seem eternal to me.
I love how they relate to each other – like a couple of friends who’ve been together a long time (because they are!). We’re so spoiled to have such excellent play-by-play announcers. Makes listening to others much harder.
I miss when locker used to sound drunk by the second period. They need to start throwing som new blood in the mix. Do tryouts like jeopardy. I wanna hear Mia khalifa tell anecdotes while some high school av kids tries his hand at play by play

I can’t imagine a world where these two aren’t calling Caps games.
I was at the rookie meet the team event, supporting some of the cool stuff we had set up on the rink for promos and player introductions.
Team ordered us coffee and bagels, and having arrived toward the end of the event (I was there to disassemble the LED walls), I felt blessed to have gotten the last of the coffee out of the carafe, that is until I turned around a saw the Locker himself waiting behind me for a cup of Joe.
I offered him mine, but he was so sweet and gracious. I really hope someone from the team got him a hot cup.
I figured they’re going to stick around at least as long as Ovi does
Good: They’re coming back
Bad: The Monumental app is so bad and ad infested that it’s so hard to watch online legally.
I guess we know now that next season I’ll have to watch the Caps on REDACTED from here on out
