He’s going for his last payday. It’s fine. I get it. After a down year and at his age, this contract is his likely his last ability to get another $20-30 million contract. Hes going for it now. I don’t blame him bc this is his chance.
I don’t have to support him though. Hes creating drama and letting his agent leak “stories” that are a huge distraction / attempting to curry favor amongst fans / turn them against the franchise when he’s clearly being unreasonable or lying about things. He signed a gargantuan top DL multi year contract and wanted to renegotiate after year 1?
He’s fucking over the team / franchise for his max personal gain. Everyone’s a mercenary to a degree but he is more than I thought he was.
