How we could win 1 game in 2 seasons, and still not get shut out in that span… It's pretty confounding. Has to be because teams were going to backups early.

  1. Despite the dearth of talent, those Hue teams were surprisingly close to winning a lot more than one of those 32 games. It wasn’t like we were getting reamed game in game out. That said, you could ALWAYS count on Hue to make the absolute WRONG decision EVERY DAMN TIME.

  2. I remember that game in 2014, it was Johnny Asshole’s starting debut against the bundles, who bungled us 30-0 that day.

  3. That’s because the other team has second and third string in the game during the 4th quarter very frequently

  4. Also, factoring that we play ½ our games on the Lake… with higher chances of inclement weather… it’s pretty nuts

  5. Do you remember the 2023 season – when the AFC North was the only division in which every team had a winning record? In my embittered view (playoffs aside) we *let* the bengals win the last game and reach 9-8. Sure it made sense to rest our starters for the postseason, but…

The bengals were held to a FG twice in 2023 and 2020 – our previous playoff seasons. Someone should tell me these facts are linked and it’ll happen again in 2026 – Browns to teh playoffs!

Thanks for this, every now and again I need the hope restoring that we’re not too bad after all. 🙂
