On a related note – how was this Marlins team so bad?

Video graphics have come a long way…
Still a way better name for a stadium.
Now batting for the Florida Marlins. Mike Stanton!
Me and my friend used to call him Superbaby Stanton for some reason.
Honestly it feels like he’s been on the Yankees longer than the Braves have been in SunTrust/Truist park
Time is not real
If they could have kept that line up together and built around them, could have had a squad. But that’s the Marlins for you. Stanton, Yelich, Ozuna, realmuto all before their prime.
Those names for the MARLINS. Reminds me of the more successful then-Montreal Expos; outside of Strasburg and poss. Scherzer, you could make a case of NONE of the Wash. Nationals being on their all-time starting nine.
My brother and I went to that first exhibition game vs. the Yankees on March 31, 2017. I passed Kelsey Wingert and had no idea who she was at the time. We heckled Aaron Judge (also had no idea who he was). It was a great time.
To answer your question, Jose Urena led all Marlins pitchers in WAR with 1.9. No Marlins pitcher was a league average starting player.
That lineup is kind of bananas
Quite the Braves lineup lol. We’ve come a long way
I remember when he was Mike Stanton…
Where’s Freddie @ 1st?
My first and only memory of Suntrust was:
– a few coworkers and I got $5 tickets for a game
– we drove down from Chattanooga
– we stopped at a Racetrack and got a bunch of drinks
– I drank 2 Four Lokos during the 2 hour trip
– one guy in the backseat punched another
– I had one of the 5 cigarettes of my entire 36 years in the parking lot
– I have almost no memory of the game, we lost to the Cardinals, but the hot dog was amazing
10/10
Marlins had a squad
How was this 9 years ago? Ugh
Good ol’ Mike Stanton
I remember when he was Mike.
Pitchers were still hitting and this Marlins lineup would almost all go one to even today have very successful careers and make multiple trips to the playoffs and world series. Life as a Marlins I would say is hard, but I am sure they are numb to it.
My first visit.
Brother, myself, and friend left Charleston at 5am.
Picked up mother in Macon to surprise her with the game.
Get to seats at beginning of the 1st.
We had Coca Cola tickets so I went to vegetarian our drinks.
By the time I sat down it was 10-0
Left in the 6th.
Dropped mom off and drove back to Charleston.
Therapist has asked that I stop bringing it up in our sessions.
