🚨 Buffalo Bills Draft Targets Have RED FLAGS… + Sean McDermott Speaks OUT 🚨
In today’s Buffalo Bills News Roundup, I break down two major storylines that Bills fans need to pay attention to right now.
First, I dive into some concerning injury notes surrounding three popular draft targets: linebacker CJ Allen, wide receiver Chris Bell, and defensive tackle Caleb Banks. These are all names Bills Mafia has been circling, but after reading deeper into recent reports, there are some real durability questions that could impact how Buffalo approaches the draft.
Then I shift over to the biggest story of the day — former Bills head coach Sean McDermott finally sits down and speaks publicly. He opens up about what he’s been doing since leaving Buffalo, when he plans to return to coaching, and reflects on his time with the organization. There’s one quote in particular that stood out to me that felt like a subtle shot toward the Bills and how things ended — and I give my full reaction to it.
If you’re trying to stay ahead of the draft and understand what’s really going on behind the scenes with this team, this is one you don’t want to miss.

I was quite concerned with the future success of the Bills this season, primarily the weak defensive back 7 and the offensive play calling. I noticed that You ended the selected quote (conveniently) before the "I mean, we — and I say we because it wasn’t just me; collectively, we as a team — accomplished a lot." piece of the interview. Later Sean thanks the Bills leadership and states that "I think that organization is in a great spot. … The piece that we control what we can control, that’s really where my focus is.” Beane (and Pegula) ultimately controlled the players available to the HC. I just think that point needs to be considered also. I also see that You neglected to link the actual interview in the notes. Go Bills! Citrus Co Florida
Love the guy for 9 years I think he earn that right to cheap shot. The truth is that 8 years of coming up short it was time to move on. Wish him well and nothing but the best! GO BILLS đź’Şđź’Şđź’Ş
Not even true, just listened to the interview.
If Sean McDermott would have thrown those challenge flags in the Denver game with that Marvin Mims touchdown catch or where Josh Allen got that first down, Sean McDermott would have still been a head coach for the Buffalo Bills
No Josh no change! Sean wasn’t the reason for bills winning it was Josh!
That didn’t sound like a shot at the organization at all. I was glad he was the one that got fired. He doesn’t have that killer instinct to get over the hump
MCDERMOTT DESERVED BETTER FROM US I BELIEVE THAT SIMPLE ISN'T SIMPLE HE JABBED NOT AT THE FANS BUT HE THREW UP THE FACTS ABOUT THE LACK OF HELP HE GOT AND ALMOST WON A SUPERBOWL WITH A PURE CHEAP ROSTER FROM A PURE CHEAP GM IN BRANDON BEANE AND WAS USED FOR A BACK DOOR LIKE IT WAS HIS FAULT CLEARLY WE ALL KNOW IT WASN'T I LOVE MY BILLS FOREVER HEAD COACHING JOB HE GETS I HOPE HE BEATS US
Anyone else skip the draft bs and go straight to the Mcdermott segment?
I don't see it as a shot at all. He took the high road for sure. Beane should have been canned first to be honest. He needs to absolutely nail this years draft and FA class.
I couldn't be happier than the day McDermott was fired. Maybe when Trump croaks, I'll be even happier. With the talent he had, coming up short every single year when it counts is not something to brag about.
McDermott got drilled by the falcons and the dolphins enough said
I thank God your vote doesnt mean anything..lol..go Bills
If the bills don’t win a Super Bowl under the new coaching staff with Josh, alan does the question change as to whether or not Sean McDermott was the reason they didn’t win?
He just stated facts. No shots.
Yes Dan Nate the golfer is right. But to blame Mcdermott and not the Mcdermott/Brandon duo was irritating to watch in real time go down. I think most of us who look at overall performance could make a strong case that Mcdermott should have stayed and Beane should have gone. Just by job performance compared league wide.
But that shipped sailed and I hope we get it done with what we now have in the building.
Dan McDermott got screwed over he is what built the team that we have now he's the reason we have Josh Allen he's the reason for it all. He should be pissed
I'm a bills fan and I have a bit of common sense. Not too mention I learned how too connect dots before kindergarten yet most bills fans just believe what ever the organization says first off owner blamed keon on Sean yet that's bull shit 2nd if you built a roster would you say this roster isn't a championship team fuck no you'd believe in the team you built Sean was the escape goat most young coaches do not succeed just a fyi
Dan..1 comment and 1 question:
1. Best take to date: u took the words right out of my mouth…MCDERMOTT WOULD HAVE ACCOMPLISHED NOTHING WITHOUT JOSH ALLEN. All the accolades he boasted about was because JA made it happen. You think Mcdermott would have gone to playoffs 8 seasons w Mitch Trubisky???? Mcdermott provided no value, thats why he is gone. If he was an OFF guru QB whisperer like Andy Reid or Sean McVey he would still be here. And to ur point, if his defenses didnt give up avg 30 points a game in the playoffs, he would still be here. Sean, JA gave u ur resume to get another high paying job, but dont fool yourself.
2. Question. DAN Are u going to be w Bills Mafia section on ESPN night one of the draft? Haha
LFGGG Bills
Dan. We still follow your content. Dont need a shock title dude. McDermott does deserve most of that credit. I’m hoping Beane gives us the right pieces to win. We get to see if it was McD or Beane. Draft to playoffs. Let’s be honest too. The patriots season made us look bad too. New coach and they end up in the SB? Wild.
Sean was just stating facts about the team's success after over a decade of failure! He deserved better from Pegula. If they were looking for the team management weak link in the chain, it was Brandon Bean! No one is talking about this, but it took 20 years and seven head coaches since head coach Marv Levy to hiring a winning head coach (Sean McDermott). Let’s Look at the first few years of coaching under the Pegula Ownership of Bills before Sean McDermott. Rex Ryan (8-8, 8-7) Anthony Lynn 7-9… Losing records… As soon as Sean McDermott hiring, the Bills record was a huge improvement… 2017 9-7, 2018 6-10, 2019 10-6, 2020 13-3, 2021 11-6, 2022 13-3, 2023 11-6, 2024 13-4, 2025 12-5…So, what does Pegula do… fires the guy who was responsible for building a winning environment and culture where players wanted to be here. Even when players were released by the club, most of them looked for opportunities to come back. Twas Butrus (Bean) who cast the sword in the back of Ceasar (Sean), only because he knew change was required by Pegula should the team fall short! Who has the better resume in Buffalo based on execution at their respective positions? Bean's resume of only 3 of 52 drafts were all-pros. Bean who's failures in the draft and free agency are obvious. Let's talk about the acquisition of Joss Palmer 303 yards on the season NO TD's, Curtis Samuel 81 yards NO TD's, Ellijah Moore 112 yards NO TD's. Throughout the year Bean's wide receiver group only accounted for 292 PASSING yards more than the combined total of RB's/TE's receiving yards. On defense Brandon shit the bed with signing Miller a six-year, $120 million deal and has last year sign two defensive players who had 6-week suspensions for PED's and could not work out with the team until suspensions were completed had to rely on bringing players off the couch because of the weak secondary group. What elite pass rusher did Brandon Bean draft or sign while still in their prime? NONE! we have some good guys like AJ Epenesa, and Greg Rousseau but nobody who required double team or strikes fear in the other teams. Sean made it work though! Sean did an amazing job managing through the injuries and lack of tools in the toolbox. I find your short-sighted comments about how the defense rankings to be more about failed personnel choices than lack of game planning and coaching!
Who?…
So much respect for Sean McDermott- he will be missed- wishing him and his family all the best 🩵🙏❤️
I see your angle Dan! But think he is self reflecting, and gearing up for next move! I think it was respectful and getting his name out there for next season. We just needed a change! We made that change, good luck to him!
