  1. Our GM, Onsi Saleh, deserves a ton of credit too. The man has made bold moves and knows how to shift strategy while still maintaining a long-eye for the future when those moves don’t work out (like bringing in Porzingas last off season).

  2. The League is starting to understand that juss offense players….hurt the whole franchise and is limited to excellence…. Basketball has always been a full team game …look at the pass teams , sure Jordan WAS BALL DOMINANT but he was an team player 1st who could play both ends n he made his teammates play both ends also…not juss MJ n Pippen.. everyone even bench was involved in team defense, which by the way was Pippens specialty …so when MJ was off the floor d didn't drop dramatically.

  3. I’m a hawks fan so I’m obviously high on this team. We did NOT trade our best player. I also loved that it took you until 9:34 to mention NAW. I get you’re just covering your bases one step at a time but I was like “oh yeah NAW” 😂

  4. If JJ commits to defense it will elevate this team even more. With his athleticism and physical stature he should be able to give KAT problems if he committed to that end

  5. I legit thought when they gave trae away, they were giving up and doing a years long reset. And they may still be, but love seeing the success early on.

  6. Knicks are the favorite for a reason. They had a great season. But they are going to have earn it in this first round! It will not be easy, and I will not be surprised for the Hawks move on.

  7. New York is going to expose the Hawks!
If JK does not come up big in this series the Hawks have no chance. Also seeing CJ McCullum is worse in the playoffs than he is in the regular season!

  8. I've known for a while Trae was not the answer. It was fun when he was playing the villain in the playoffs but he was never the same after injuries. He's never had any defense.

  9. CJ has always been a difference maker and a top lead guard in the league. It’s been a perfect fit alongside Dyson and NAW, allowing everyone to breathe and play to their strengths. Best move of the season by the Hawks this year!

  10. Helps when half the teams you play are tanking. Just wait until they need clutch buckets in the playoffs. Trae will be missed then. This version of the hawks is better but still lack a long term option as a go-to guy , perhaps the hardest skill to find. Guys like Trae don’t grow on trees and this whole issue has been twisted out of context. The hawks were just as good last yr before Jalen got injured evidenced by the winning record vs the top 4 teams in the east. The small sample sizes this yr with Trae in were vs playoff teams and the hawks were still trying to gel with the new additions of kp naw and Kennard, not to mention jj had been out for nearly a yr so he and Trae needed time to find balance. There’s no doubt that guys like naw Dyson and jalen were able to carry a larger offensive load and create a better defensive unit without Trae but in the playoffs, last 4 minutes if a tight game and the refs are letting guys play, none of them can be relied upon to get the tough buckets or self create at a high level. CJ softens that blow but he’s a temporary solution. Better hope we get a good one in the draft.
