  3. He just feels like a breath of fresh air. Really excited for someone to come in with no attachment to these players and the ability to give an honest assessment of the state of the team. Plus having him be one us means something. It’s not everything but it’s still meaningful to me.

    No success guaranteed, but they certainly didn’t fuck up the hiring.

  13. No matter what happens, we got someone “out of the box” and not a 70 year old retread of a GM. I’m really excited to see what he does.

  14. This hire proves that ownership did their due diligence into hiring the best candidate and to give the organization the best chance to be successful. Again, as many mentioned, not a recycled GM from the same GM circle. I hope this works out for us to make the next step or two in the right direction, or possibly a cup run but he’s going to be busy to work around the NMC/NTC, Nico extension, Nemec RFA contract, Dougie decision, bottom 6 reassessment, goalie coach (sorry, not sorry), figuring out if Keefe wasn’t producing consistent results due to Fitz’ vision or he lacked the ability to adjust, ~12OA draft position, and more. Exciting things to come… but the stakeholders made the right decision to change something from up top.

  36. I believe in this guy. He’s from NJ, he loves the team, he has experience getting cups, and I like the energy he’s starting with. As long as he signs Nico, I’ll be happy.
