  3. y’all I’m not gonna lie, Crosby’s smile when a reporter told him he’ll be targeted this game? that man ain’t afraid of shit. I also think everyone is forgetting that he’s not unwilling to take penalties himself.

  4. Every playoff team has a pleasant surprise. A guy who steps up when the focus is clearly on others. Think Andy Delmore in May of 2000, Ville Leino in 2010, and Coots as a rookie in 2012.

  6. I dk why but I think michkov has a chance to show the league he’s a true star this series. The games get tight in the post season, his patience and vision should allow him to do things others can’t. Coming out party incoming

  32. As you watch these next 4 games, try to bear in mind:

    No matter what happens on the scoreboard, we’re already winning, because our young, developing corps of players, (who will *definitely* be better in future seasons than they are today) are getting playoff experience that will pay off down the road.

    We DO NOT need to beat the Penguins for this series to be a success. We just need to show that we have the ability to play at their level. That’s literally the bar for this postseason- **just be competitive.**

    Even if the Pens win every game, *they* are an expiring dynasty of champions who will never again be as good as they were in 2017, and *we* are an up-and-coming team of talented players for whom there is no ceiling.

    Even if Briere never picks up the phone again in his tenure as GM to use the *mountain of cap space* he has at his disposal, this Flyers team is going to continue improving *significantly* for the next two years. **We’re dough in the the oven. The Pens are crust on a plate.**

    So if you’re excited right now, that’s awesome. I am too. I want them to surprise everyone and go on a Cinderella run to the ECF. I want to see things out of Michkov and Tippett and Martone, and Zegras that we didn’t even know they could do. I want Stuart Skinner to need years of therapy after giving up 3 Michigan goals in one period.

    But if it doesn’t happen, try to remember that we’re playing with house money right now, and do us all a solid and wait at least one day after we’re eliminated before you start shitting your disappointment all over everything and calling for them to tear it all down and start over.

  46. Can’t believe it’s been 6 years… realistically 8, that bubble felt weird and was hard to get pumped for. Very excited to get our young guys playoff experience and just to enjoy the playoffs for the first time in a while
