We have Augustine and Cossa, but is Postava our best goalie prospect?
25 starts (Cossa has had 38, so not an entirely different sample size)
1.71 GAA ( Cossa is at 2.28)
0.937 Save % (Cossa 0.917)
Both are 24
I realize Cossa loses waiver exemption after this season, but idk – Postava has been better on the same team
If you can trade Cossa as part of a package for a scoring forward, I think you do it. I’d be fine with Postava and Augustine as our goalie pipeline
Two extra games next year.
Not sure how I feel about that. They’ve been terrible in the preseason and at the tail end of the season.
If only there was a way to add those games to the middle of the season
Is Carter Bear someone that could realistically be in GR next year?
Alexa, play Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day.
Over 5 months until the return of Red Wings hockey.

In silly sources of serotonin news… I went to five games this season and desperately wanted to catch one of the plushies they throw during the game, to no avail. I found one on eBay and someone in my local buy nothing group gave me the other color they throw. 🥰 they bring me great joy. 🐙🐙
Three-quarters of the 2/3 round is at least worth watching as a neutral: Battle of Pennsylvania, Battle of Stars, and Lightning/Canadiens (Battle of Martin St. Louis).
I’m out here fiending for those player season highlights from Awood
What a story and find Michal Postava was.
An undrafted goalie who would have been drafted the same year as Cossa. In his first year of AHL hockey he went 17-6-0, 4 shutouts, .937 SV%, and 1.71 GAA. That is the best stats in the entire league. Extremely consistent goalie who never let in more than 3 goals all season. This clearly screams too good for AHL numbers.
What is going to happen though is the question? Realistically he will stay in the AHL and split time with Augustine as Cossa is now waiver eligible, but I honestly feel that is a disservice to him. I think the Calder Cup playoffs will help define summer decisions.
Wonder if any of our guys go to the Worlds this year. Also hoping that with NHLers back at the Olympics players treat the Worlds a bit more seriously
Impressed by Chiarot’s interview yesterday. I hope the front office will seek out his insights this summer before making decisions. Maybe they already do and that’s part of why they re-signed him.
Suprising that Nate Danielson is still not back. Has to be a serious injury.
I like both for next season:
Kane:
“I’d love to be part of the solution that helps us get over the hump for sure,” Kane said. “I think there is mutual interest to come back, continue my career here. It’s been a great spot for me, my family, my son.”
Edvinsson:
“Of course,” Edvinsson said of the thought of inking a long-term pact with the Red Wings. “It’s where I got drafted. I felt like ever since I came here, it’s been great. All the people around, teammates, fans around, it’s been great.
“It’s hockey. It’s 82 games. It’s gonna be 84 next year. And I’m gonna take that with me. I’m gonna work even harder this summer to really get my body and everything as good as I can get it.
Seider/Edvinsson:
“The 38 5-on-5 goals against when they were on the ice were the third-lowest among all defense pairings that logged at least 1000 minutes together. Their 5-on-5 goal differential of plus-13 (51-38) ranked second-best in the league.”
I’m already bored without hockey… Can’t even enjoy WC coming up because Hallam is still the coach, gonna be a rough off-season
I looked at some of the post-season interview with Dylan Larkin. This guy works hard and does his best. It is not on him by any means. It is the FO by every means. However, it is over with and you move forward. The Front Office has the opportunity to start making changes.

Friday nights as a 33 yo are way better
Minnesota-Dallas is going to be a brutal first round series and the winner gets to play….Colorado.
Beating a dead horse here but they do need to fix the playoffs
This is now a pet Pic sub. Get on board.

.
Good for Chiarot in his interview. Yes, they need to be more physical than just skill. Yzerman needs to get that. It is no longer the 90’s with the Russian Five in the sense of Steve not seeing anything other thing than skill needed.
I also hope the coach starts benching players earlier on who are not going to give it their all. I will state this that if there are little to no roster changes in the off-season, then deeper changes are needed my friends. And while some fans do not want to hear it, it must start with the GM.
The team does not have the right mix. And I am looking forward to Anton Johansson making the roster. At least, he plays a physical game on the D side. However, the biggest needs are on the forward side. Chiarot seemed to mentioned that Detroit (the Front Office) is looking for more of a skilled team and players. It will not work; a better mixture is needed.
163 days until the Opening Night Roster boys.
Cossa will play back up behind Gibson next year.
Augustine and Postava will likely split the GR games at an even pace until one shows they should be the starter.
One good season(first seasonat that) with a light load in GR by Postava does not make Postava jump Cossa in any fashion. Sure if Gibby or Cossa get hurt next year Postava could get a couple games.
Thinking otherwise is kinda ridiculous.
Due to the needs of this team, Kasper is a make or break for next season. However, for the right player I would move him for sure in a trade. If this team had two more type of DeBrincat players, they would be a strong playoff team.
One has to allow for changes. And yes, it means trading some futures now. Of course, it depends on the player.

A pretty good season for Finnie with 30 points. Glad for him.
See yall on free agency day. Go Pistons!
Just saw the sens rap video and need a lobotomy and an exorcism
Most consistent players this season: Seider and DeBrincat at the top of the list.
Day 3 of the offseason:
Hope yall are having a good day!
The one thing I am tired of is our guys getting run over by certain players from other teams. This would never happen in the past due to better roster mix they had.
6 points in 7 games for Anton Johansson in the AHL regular season (11 in 18 if you also count his games last year).
Pretty good.

Still waiting to hear from the FO. Even friggin Don Waddell got in front of the media on Friday.
[here’s my bracket](https://i.imgur.com/bx2SjK9.png)
I think I picked too many upsets but I’m sticking with it, more fun that way if I do get them right lol. don’t really care much for Dallas but I think this is their year
that being said, fuck Jamie Benn
