[Highlight] Joe Mazzulla on why he often credits others rather than himself: “Being a D1 basketball player, you grow up with this sense of entitlement, as if the whole world revolves around you. If I wanted to be a better husband, father, coach, I had to get rid of that type of entitlement”

  1. Dude’s locked in on being a good person wtf. Celtics got a great one until he’s 90

  2. That’s my coach and WV PG who took down the John Wall x Demarcus Cousins wildcats

  3. Does a Finals run this year officially start the HOF coach discussions for him?

  4. Ppl love piling on him for domestic issues that happened > 15 years ago yet can’t understand ppl can change and be better

  5. Now let me tell you more about what The Town taught me about being less entitled.

  6. Good grief. Looking at the comments, seems like some people have no idea that people can change for the better.

  7. As much as it pains me to say it as a Lakers fan, I really like this Mazzulla guy.

    ETA: Fuck Boston!

  8. Quote got cut off. “I had to get rid of that type of entitlement. That’s why I chose trial by combat and fought three leopards bare-handed.”

  9. I will always hate the Celtics but I will never hate Mazzulla and I will never not be jealous of him coaching the C’s.

  10. Man, was expecting a random left of field crazy quote from Joe but this one is damn inspirational. Really wise and great quote this time.

  11. Joe has a standing rule in his house that anyone can choke out anyone else in the house at any time. Before he made the rule, he forgot to also put in the rule that you stop choking someone whenever they tap. His 7 year old son was wreaking havoc on their home before they got it straightened out.

  12. Proud of this product of Providence and Bishop Hendricken. Fuck the Celtics.

  13. I’m a Laker fan. I hate the Celtics with every fiber of my being but damn it I can’t hate this dude. He’s solid. Damn good coach. Good dude it seems.

  14. He’s a little different, has some different opinions than me but I like his attitude and his consistency and this amount of self awareness is good.

  15. he might be a crazy person, but damn it I’d be cool with having a friend like this lol
