  2. Honestly when Buffalo re-hired Ruff I figured it was just a mix of a nostalgia hire and Ruff being one of the few coaches willing to work there. You could have convinced me before this season Buffalo might finally make the playoffs, but not in such a dominant fashion.

  3. I would love to see the Sabres make it all the way to the Cup finals. That being said, Boston will probably win in 4-3 (series). Boston and Buffalo have good goaltending but the Bruins are better on the physical side while the Sabres are more skilled. I think this series might have low scoring thought because both teams are good defensively. I think you’re right that this will be an entertaining series.

  4. I’m a Sabres fan, but worried about the way both teams were built. Were built for speed, and quick transition, not a big team per se. To where I see Boston being more of a grind team. Those are the type of teams built for the playoffs. But I can’t go back on my team, I think they win in 6. Also, I was sitting in the lower golds after buying tickets from a scalper, not knowing we were down big after the first. But I was there for that famous mayday goal!!!

  6. I reallllllly want to be wrong but i got Bruins in six. Neither team expected to be here. Give me the B's experience. Buffalo had the pieces, just needed a kick in the butt. Boston looked to be in rebuild mode, and yet here they are again.

  7. I am an Oiler fan but these are definitely my two favorite teams in the east, I'm hoping for a very entertaining clean series and a deep run for whoever comes out of it

  10. One bad thing about Buffalo making the playoffs is going to be no Tage Thompson at the World's. He carried the US to our first gold in 90 years last year! 🇺🇸

  16. Bruins and Sabres have met eight times in Stanley Cup Playoffs…Bruins 6-2…Bruins All Time Playoff versus Sabres is 25-20! Bruins are a more tactical strategic team versus Sabres River Hockey format…River Hockey leads to more turnovers and odd man rushes by opponents.
    Bruins will counter punch and Sabres penalties will be costly…If Bruins have a weakness is that they don’t start on time and often have low scoring First Periods…As a Bruins fan I like Boston is Six Games…Sabres River Hockey will run dry in this First Round Series…

  17. Buffalo in 6. I think Buffalos power play has just been more unlucky than not good. With Thompson and Dahlin that PP SHOULD be outstanding. Either way unless Swayman can go all Vezina, Buffalo should win this one

    BRUINS fan here,
    So Bruins take it in 7, but there a lot on swaymen, he can't let the rebounds in, and I know its only the 1st round but the Bruins have to check, and slow the Sabres down, and take advantage of there power play abilities

  26. I was born 45 kilometers due south of the old Maple Leaf Gardens but also 45 kilometers west of the old Buffalo Aud. Over the years when Toronto did not make the playoffs, Buffalo became the team for us to root for.
    This season feels like old times.
